we love you freddie or do we?

a few years ago, freddie was part of our double winning side in 2002, scored a belter in the fa cup final and had that famous haircut.

Now it seems like he has just faded in to the background and no longer cares about the club.

I was just wondering whether we should sell him or not and if we sold him to a premiership club, what his reception would be like if he came back to the grove after playing brilliantly for another club.

Freddie was great 4 years ago but since then has been slowly going downhill. In the last two years has he played more than two games in a row without getting injured. Can we keep a player who is so injury prone?

Freddie will always be an Arsenal hero Who can every forget the way he dragged us over the finishing line in 2002. Yes we will always love Freddie.

I think we must keep freddie.

In teh last month heplayed a couple og games and looked good (cant remeber teh exact games, when he was on teh wing not up top). Even if he is not starting each game he is an experiances player and good bloke to have in teh dressing room.

He has not had a great season but neither has

Thierry Henry
Lehman
Hleb
Baptista
Allisishityaire
Eboue
Senderos

We canty get rid of all these players so ile be just be happy to see the back of the "Feather" and alliadiare

collins, to say he doesn't care is a bit harsh. Freddie loves the club and it's just the physical rather than mental aspect that is producing weaker performances.

I'm with DDignam, ideally we would let him go but there are players that need to be shipped out before him and his experience will help the younger players, after all it's a lack of experience that has affected us in some games.

lets face it at the moment you wonder where the goals will come from and freddie has shown he still has the finishing skill if not the same blistering pace he had a few years ago. Also he is (provided graham poll isnt refereeing) quite good at geting us penalties.

I agree, although Freddie isn't at his best there are plenty of players I would rather see go before him, he is useful to have around as a sub to eject a little somthing else into a game and give us a possibility of scoring.

If Freddie does go to another Prem side I would like to think his reception a tthe grove would be a good one, he is not a nasty dirty or horrible player and will be remembered as one of Arsenal's best at his peak

I'm certain he would be welcomed back if he ever does come to Ashburton as an away player. I for one would cheer his name when it's read out n the teamsheet.

Freddie will be off in the summer. As will Reyes, Senderos, Flamini, Aliadiere, Muamba and hopefully Hleb.

We need a natural winger who can beat people - an Overmars type.

I still think AW can turn the beast around and get the best out of him.

Last I heard is that Reyes had been offered to Valencia.

If we let him go it will weaken the squad , and i am not convinced we will be bringing in many new ones. I think he is past his best but too much expericence has already left.

As for a warm welcome , luke warm applause which is the norm at the emirates.

Freddie God bless him will always be loved by the Arsenal fans but he has only played 14 games this season. That is not enough for a team that hopes to be challeging for trophies. For the last two years he has become injury prone. It he does leave he will go with the thanks of every Gooner.
