early leaver disgrace... again.

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

early leaver disgrace... again.

Post by DB10GOONER »

Didn't make it over for yesterday's slightly dodgy win over fulham so watched it in a local boozer surrounded by filthutd and mickeymouser fans cheering on fulham. All well and fine until we got near the end of the game and the bastard early leavers went and did it again.

Now, I've stayed out of the various arguments about this because I kinda symphathised with people that had to travel a good distance home, but it is getting ridiculous now. :(

It was farcking embarrassing, watching huge areas empty and listening to the armchair wanker fans around me in the boozer blabbing on about fair weather fans and no atmosphere.

I'm sorry, but I don't give a fcuk how far you live from the ground - don't leave early!! You are embarrassing the club.

So what if you're home a little late or have to sit in traffic a little longer or have to queue at a tube stop? Try getting home to another country after a game! To be honest, when I'm over for games I usually stay over night but if I don't stay over then I often will have to get out to Standstill airport or Heathslow straight after the game but I still stay to the end no matter what the score or travel conditions. I've actually missed two flights home because of this and had to pay extra to get home that night. And it was worth it - every minute watching the Gunners in the flesh is sacred.

"But you only get to games nine or ten times a year at most - we have to go through the hassle every second week!" you might cry. Then I say you are farcking spoiled and deserve your ticket even less. What do they say about familiarity breeding contempt...?

The early leavers should either stop embarrassing the club or give their tickets to fans that will stay and cheer the team on. There is no excuse for this leaving early shit; you either love the club enough to put yourself out a little or you don't. It's that simple.

I'm with you on this one. Listened to the game on 5 live & it drives me mad when we give that wanker Alan Green the chance to have a dig. I'm one of the lucky ones who'll be at the Chelsea game next weekend & as its traditional to stay behind after the whistle at the last home game of the season it will be interesting to see whether this makes any difference!!

As I've said before, anyone who is unable/unwilling to stay til the end should not be so selfish and give up their ticket, so that people who will put themselves out to support the team for a whole match can do.

Strange to see those who were leaving early near me yesterday. So interested in watching Gilberto take his penalty that they still kept walking up the steps but were looking back to the pitch at the same time. I hope it didn't make you late! Arseholes. In future, forget what's going on on the pitch and look where you're going or you might trip over.

early leavers

These people make me sick I've also noticed they tend to be the same fans who moan and groan during the match. "Sort it our Wenger" One git shouted In our section they also leave at least eight minutes before half time the pies can't be that good. What I can't understand are these the same people that have been waiting years too get a season ticket, they also get very abusive and aggressive when us die hards point out their early leaving. I don't like these new fans and frankly I don't want them :(

I have said it before and i will keep saying it true supporters do not leave early full stop. You cant even shame them because they have no shame. There"s one guy the seat in front of me you can set your watch by him-8 minutes before half time he turns to his mate and says"time for a pint" then returns 5mins into the second half it doesnt matter who we are playing Man utd or Fulham its ths same every game.I just wish these wankers would fuck off and let real supporters who want to watch the WHOLE game have there seats. And what was the excuse for leaving early on sunday the game ended at 6pm. Was there dinner getting cold.
