I Miss Robert Pires

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Just watching this video on YouTube:

Can we give him a leg/hip transplant and bring him back, please?!

Maybe I should get back to RedTube and stop depressing myself![/url]

I love Pires, definitely in my favourite 5 arsenal players I have seen play for the club...I'd have him back, just for sentimental reasons!...I think August 2001 through to March 2002 I don't think I've ever seen an Arsenal player play as well as he did.

Henry in 03-04 and Bergkamp in 97-98 run it close but Pires was a different class that season.

One of my favourite Arsenal goals was when he chipped rednose at Villa Park when Schmichael was still on his line, moments after Villa missed a penelty...before he runs over to the travelling gooners behing the goal wagging his finger...Great memories that day in the away end.

I miss him. I honestly think that a lot of Henrys success at the club could be directly attributed to Bobby. He was never as good when Bobby wasn't in the team.

Wenger makes very few mistakes but not giving Bobbie a two year contract was a bad one.We still haven"t found anyone to replace him.An Arsenal great and what a goalscoring record something Helb and Rosicky would die for
