has just sold his 1966 World Cup winners medal for Â£188,000

I'm pleased for Stiles that he's got a nice bit of cash (footballers weren't paid daft money in his day).

But Â£188,000 is a massive amount to pay. It's nearly 80% of Rooney's weekly wage FFS.

he is basically admitting that he screwed his club over just for money.

He should have bought the bloody medal himself and given it back to Stiles, too.

Disgusting that he should even have to sell it. Such a shame. Hope he enjoys the money though.

EDIT: Just had a look and he sold alot of other memorabilia aswell. He sold his European Cup medal for 48k. In total, he sold 45 pieces, shirts and caps etc, for Â£424,000 to "leave something" for his sons.

It's a real shame when you see old players having to do this. The fucking mong modern players have no idea how fortunate they are to ply their trade nowdays. I can't understand why a player on 100K or 200K a week can't just go in and buy the medals and hand them back as a mark of respect and decency. Oh, hang on, I do know why. Most modern players are greedy fucking scum chav bastards.
