Players ambition
Players ambition
I am currently watching ATV and have just watched an interview with cesc and Theo.
when asked the question, what is your ambition in football? here were their resctive answers
Cesc - CL or World Cup
Theo - Championship with Arsenal
now some may think so what, but i think this means a hell of a lot. many in the media and fans say that the domestic comps are losing their appeal to the players and that the CL and the like are more important, especially to the foriegners. well surely this kind of backs this up.
some may say well cesc has won the league whilst at arsenal but he wasn't a main player in doing that was he?
Good on you Theo, i hope he turns out to be a real gunners legend.

I think it says a lot. Matt Lucas mentioned, and got a huge round of applause at Arsenal Question Time, for saying that the players should not discount the domestic competitions at the expense of the Champions League. I personally would rather see Arsenal win the FA Cup than the Champions League because that's what was important when I was growing up. I want Arsenal to win the Champions League so that people will shut the fuck up about our failure to do so. The fact is that, had there been a European Cup in the 30's, Arsenal would have been bigger than Real Madrid.
Apologies for moving off the subject.

A bit OTT, but I accept the sentiment.

APPARENTLY HE WAS IN A SPORTS SHOP WITH HIS MATE LOU, WHO WAS GOING TO BUY HIM A FOOTBALL STRIP AS A TREAT. FIRST OF ALL HE WAS OFFERED THE MAN UTD KIT, AND WHEN HE TURNED IT DOWN, THE CHELSEA TOP & SHORTS.green gooner wrote:Matt Lucas![]()
Why did he/she have to support Arsenal
FED UP WITH BEING SHOWN WHAT HE CONSIDERED INADEQUENT ITEMS, HE WENT FOR A WANDER BY HIMSELF AND FINALLY SAW A FOOTBALL STRIP THAT LIT UP HIS EYES. IT WAS THE ARSENAL ONE!!

EXCITED, HE RUSHED BACK TO WHERE HIS MATE LOU - WHO HAD BEEN CHATTING WITH ONE OF THE SALES PEOPLE WHILST HE WAS OUT SEARCHING - WAS STANDING LOOKING FOR HIM AND POINTED HIS MATE IN THE DIRECTION OF THE ARSENAL STRIP. "I WANT THAT ONE!!", HE SAID.
