WALCOT IS EXCITING

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

WALCOT IS EXCITING

Post by ARSENAL1304 »

HELLO ALL, I JUST WANT TO AIR MY VIEWS ON THEO, MY MATE IS A SAINTS FAN AND I GO WITH HIM SOMETIMES TO WATCH THEM, I DID SO WHEN THEO WALCOT PLAYED FOR THEM AND HE STARTED A LOT OF GAMES FOR SOUTHAMPTON AND I WAS AMAZED AT HIS SPEED AND ABILITY. I BELIEVE MR WENGER IS NURSING HIM IN SLOWLY AND HE WILL BE A GREAT GREAT PLAYER FOR US. THE GOAL HE SCORED AGAINST CHELSEA IN LAST YEARS CARLING CUP FINAL JUST SHOWED HIS GREAT SKILL AND BURST OF PACE, HE ALSO DID SO WELL IN ONE OF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE GAMES WHEN SCORING TWICE AND PLAYING THROUGH THE MIDDLE. WHAT I WANT TO ASK YOU FELLOW GOONERS IS WHY DOESNT HE START MORE GAMES, I KNOW HE YOUNG BUT I RECKON WITH 3 OR 4 PREM GAMES HE COULD REALLY LIGHT UP THE PITCH AND GIVE HIMSELF MORE CONFIDENCE, I REALLY LIKE HIM AND HIS SPEED JUST AMAZES ME. I TOOK THE MRS TO THE EMIRATES AND THERES A MASSIVE PICTURE BY THE ARMOUREY OF HIM WITH CLICHY. CAN SOME ONE PLEASE ENLIGHTEN ME WHY HE DOESNT GET MORE GAMES AS I THINK HE COULD BE PROLIFIC. ALSO ANOTHER POINT IT WOULD BE NICE TO BEAT NEWCASTLE 3 OR 4 0 FOR KEEGANS FIRST CUP GAME AND THEO SCORE A COUPLE. ALL THE BEST TO YOU ALL

Theo has the speed and skill needed of that there is no doubt but more often than not doesnt know where he is going and what is even worse than that is that he appears so indecisive  Some fans will give you all this "he is still a young lad and has time" stiff but if we are honest so far he has failed to deliver enough and cannot be compared to players like cesc or shrek who at that age were already established players. I like theo and really hope he makes it but he isnt being helped by wenger who doesnt play him with any great regularity and when he does he swaps him from the wing to up front which prevents him getting settled in any one position. When you see le boss playing him against a good team and not some 3rd rate european side then we can be a bit more confident about theo making it

PS I Hate Hleb is the only one on here allowed to use caps all the
time  Am sure he told us why he uses them at some stage but
fcuked if I can remember

Walcott isn't a winger, he is a striker who should be played up top but we have many players in front of him for this position. I trust Wenger though and he will get it right with Walcott.

You have to trust Wenger don't you?
