Drop Clichy

Post by Irish Gooner »

Not knee jerk, but come on that sort of defending is so common with him. Amateur stuff. You honestly wouldn't get that in League 2, because in lower leagues the players know their level and just BOOT the ball up the field or out of play.

Not hard Gael is it?
It's like there is some sort of invisible wall preventing him clearing it, this is even when in position of the ball. Honestly, this has happened a dozen or more times. I knew when the ball went like that, he would refuse to clear it because he thinks his above that and instead concede possession. It then resulted in yet another goal.

I'm not one for saying drop players but seriously this guy must be dropped and Gibbs given a run, much like the Almunia-Fabianksi situation, except Gibbs is better.

NOT KNEE JERK ?

Coming from a fickle fan, at half time, when we're losing !! :coffeespit:

Those knees couldn't have jerk'd you quicker to your compooter if they tried :coffeespit:

Gibbs isn't fit, and rarely is. Even if he was our first choice left back, Clichy still would have started most games by default.

I agree that Clichy has become too error prone to deserve a regular place in the side, but we don't have anyone else at the moment, I'm afraid.

Gibbs will be back until Wolves. Give Tom Cruise a run at the weekend I say, he can clear the ball.

Well I assume any professional defender can clear the football, if not why is he a professional footballer?

Who floated the ball for Song to head in on Saturday? Definately a knee jerk reaction I think...

Mission Impossible has just been loaned out to Carlisle for a month. I don't think we have any left back cover at the moment...do we? Am I forgetting anyone? :?
