Gibbs will be back until Wolves. Give Tom Cruise a run at the weekend I say, he can clear the ball.

Well I assume any professional defender can clear the football, if not why is he a professional footballer?
NOT KNEE JERK??? You want Tom Cruise at left back instead?? :? - erm, could you be any more knee jerk, mate?

Guess our left back cover is Koscielny at the moment?

Wonder why Clichy keeps losing concentration?

All I want to see is poor performances, eradicated and if players do so for a prolonged period, punished.

Is it such a big thing for Gibbs to be brought in?

We haven't got anyone else at the moment, Gibbs is injured & Vermaelen who can play left back is god knows where.. Were gonna have to lump it for a while, I guess at least half the problem is solved when Eboue is dropped for Sagna on Sunday... I hope

Well, it is really.

He's always either injured or recovering from injury, and there's been very few occasions this season when he's been able to get a run of games together.

And when he was fit, he was getting the odd game. Wenger has been introducing him more and more, but he can't do that if Gibbs is injured! (as he is now, by the way!)

Gibbs, if he can stay fit, will get more and more chances in the first team - but until he can stay fit, I think it's unrealistic to expect Clichy to be dropped.

It will happen, but only when Gibbs is ready.

As for dropping Clichy for Cruise - well, maybe you've seen more of Cruise than I have, but I can't see that happening, mate. November is a big, big month for us and not a time for bringing in a rookie.

I can understand your frustration with Clichy, though. 100%

Gibbs back for Wolves next week, think he should start. No doubt in my mind Clichy cost us all 3 points.

Gael Clichy is a f**king liability c**t, w**kstain p***k m***af**king useless piece of dog turd who can't cross(one a season does not make you Dani Alves), can't defend and does not even get goals. I

I'm f**ked off, we have the s***test full backs in the top 4 and Europe.

By the way, what a dirty little cheat Srna is. no wonder the Chavs are looking at him. The c**t would fit right in.

Srna,Clichy,Eboue this is for you :finger:

Clichy hasnt learned a fucking thing since Birmingham 2008.For some reason the twat thinks he can play football in the danger area when the ball should be in row z.He is the luckiest player at the club as the player who should replace him once and for all is always fucking injured :banghead:

Altogether now "Gael Clichy Clichy he's better than Casher-lee"

Unforgiveable that mistake. I'm not into slaughtering Clichy usually as I still think the lack of cover make both full backs look clowns at times (even RB of the 2010 CL Maicon looks a mug in that situation).

But you are right about that mistake - how often would you see Chelsea, United or a Mourinho team concede a goal like that ?

Agree Clichy's place in the side needs to be questioned as soon as Gibbs is fit and ready to have a run in the first team. He is caught out far to often and when you think we usually have Arshavin in front of him who does no tracking back (not Gael's fault I know) we really should have somebody with more defensive awareness there.

As for Saturday that was a fluke cross on his weaker foot. Does anybody know how many assists he has over the past couple of seasons? I'd hope that as a counter argument it would be a decent number going by how attacking he is as a full back but I just dont think it is?

It was 5 assists on 07/08 1 assisst in 08/09, 1 assisst in 09/10. In all 3 years he has one goal. As attacking fullbacks go it's a piss poor return. Especially since he can't defend anymore.
