FC United

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I mean they took 4500 to the game out of 7000.
I heard it was the board, or is that all the fans in this type of club?
Seen Life of Brian? You get the idea...

How long before AFC Arsenal are formed by the Onlinegooner Supporters Club??

Fed up of their glorious club selling out to 'financial football' and playing in the corperate bowl (aka Emirates), AFC Arsenal claim their club back and start again playing jumpers for goalposts in Finsbury Park

Absolute bullshit. Not from you, from them.

They took the game for television £.

Founded against all the commercial aspects of the modern game, they're unable to turn the bucks down when push comes to shove.
As far as I am aware they aren't completely against TV money in the game etc, what they are in support of is the interests of fans being first. If fans don't want a game moved for TV, they dont think it should be, which is why they held a vote to determine if they were going to allow the game to be screened or not. At the end of the day it was a local game, and a Friday night kick off no doubt appealed to the fans and so they voted that they were happy to do it. If it was a game against Portsmouth and with a weeks notice they were told it was being moved to a Monday night, they would do everything in their power to stop it

That is the point of the club, to keep the fans having a say in how the club is ran, unlike most/ all PL sides where the fans have a token say if any at all. They are against the corporate greed, the soulless atmospheres, and everything we have come to hate about the modern game, and I say fucking good luck to them. It might be a very low level of football, but I bet the lads who go home and away to watch them have a fucking thousand times the fun that PL clubs have. I sit in a part of the SoL where fuck all people sing- if you swear or sing you get looked at like you're a rapist and stewards say "calm down or you're out son". The only people who should be out are these over officious pricks of stewards who think they are important because they make not far off minimum wage and get to wear a yellow (or blue if they're git mint at it) coat and the boring plastic *word censored* and families that want to go "to the footy" like others go the the theatre and dont want any sort of atmosphere to be generated unless it involved big foam hands. These are the people who are now welcomed by the PL clubs and it is sickening, well done to FCUM for taking a stand and going a different way, hope they do well

The game I'd love to see is AFC Wimbledon v MK Dons.
MKD truly present all that is evil with modern day football and it'd be a venomous atmosphere at Kingstonians
