Disgraceful tackle & I knew as soon as Cesc commited his one that they wouldn't show Henry's. Fucking typical.

I've found it's the only way to stop me getting seriously pissed off with the wankers on MOTD.

They really were a fucking disgrace tonight, Henry should have a 3 match ban but those *word censored* and the media won't have that.

Best put a bit of pressure on the BBC PC brigade to lay off johnny foreigner...

Next best save after Fab's had to be Sagna arriving just in the nick with a shit hot block . Best bit of skill ...... Squillaci's back heel to Djourou in the six yard box
I loved Squillaci's "skill" it reminded me of myself on a 5-aside pitch !

Happy with the result tonight. Specially happy with the fact we were able to hold on a one goal lead for 90 min!!!

This is one thing I rarely see these days watching our team. We held on well, even when under pression. I don't think we were more composed defensively than any other day, but I think the team compensated with good commitment.

Wilshere has played enough, and needs a little break IMO. He's still very young and I think Wenger took him out because he realised that young Jack is starting to reach his limit physically. He has taken many knocks since the start of the season, as he's gets in on many challenges. A few weeks of rest would do him good I think.

Fab is still not at his best but certainly better than vs Newcastle. Still provides the assist for Chamack's second goal.

Flappy probably had one of his best game ever by his low standards. If he can restrain his usual blunder to once every two months for that would be a nice start to his long path for the No.1 jersey.

Ooh - look at the two girls flirting!! :owned:

On a more serious note... fuck off skysports and fair fucks to Mick McCarthy. Not sure which sky knobjockey it was doing the post match interview but all he wanted to talk about was "that" tackle by Fabregas.

I fully expected Mick to have a bit of a moan about the pot and the kettle etc but no, he said he thought it was mistimed, no more than that and that Cesc had gone into the wolves dressing room and apologised to the player. Mick finished with an emphatic "I have no problem with it." You could almost hear the skycunt's sigh of dissapointment...

We are gonna get this every time one of ours is late or over the top this season. Wenger has made a rod for his own back to some extent with the whiney way he implied that every other team does it but not us.

Sometimes I wish he'd just shut the fuck up.

For me it wasn't that bad tbh. It was late and he deffo caught the player, but I'd say it was with what we used to call a "marker" as in you were letting him know you were there, not to fuck about with you and you marked out your territory so to speak by leaving a bit on the player. That's what it looked like to me anyway but only Cesc knows what intent there was.

We must remember too it was the type of tackle that Mick McCarthy made his name with back in the day so I think he was being fairly genuine about not having a problem with it.

Agree about McCarthy, he was pretty good in that post match interview, but I don't agree about that foul/tackle being a ''marker'' mate, a marker is normally put down in the first few minutes of a game, not the 90th minute, and anyway, I do believe it was just mistimed, it wasn't an Essien, and you see these type of tackles quite often when a player is closing someone down from a clearance from the flanks.

In it's purest sense I'd agree a marker is put in early by tradition but it can also be put in late born of frustration at your own performance or if you've been on the receiving end of a marker earlier yourself and have been trying to get the opportunity to return the favour in a not too obvious manner. I suppose my point is it appeared that Cesc wanted to make contact with the player (for whatever reason he saw fit) but not necessarily break his leg so it's not a terrible foul or in the same ball park as the likes of Henry or Shawcross or St Martin Of Taylor, but a foul all the same.

In the 85th minute?

To be honest thats the sort of physicality that i cant stand. We know you're there, we dont need players to be stretchered off to find that out. I think its fair to say that Cesc lost the ball (i think) and tried to compensate by trying to win a tackle that he was always going to be late for.

It happens. It's always been part of the game and to some extent probably will. Also, see my reply to Frank above.

Yes, agree, but let's face it, as you said earlier, we probably wouldn't be having this conversation in the first place, if it wasn't for Wenger speaking out about every type of tackle against us. :?

Was quite taken aback by MM's response to the tackle. At least he's sticking with his belief on physical play and tackles, which I can respect. Only had one eye on the game but overall it looked like Arsenal could have put in four or five... which we need to start doing, because we're wasting a lot of good opportunities.

Well defended Arsenal in the last onslaught, fantastic Fabianski, and overall a hard earned 3 points.
