Simply head to The Pins for about 6, sink a few large ones for dutch courage and head to The Lane from there. I was there before the League game back in September and it seemed to be the 'leaving point' then so I'm guessing it'll be the same again. On that particular day there were a group of about 20 - 30 geezers outside drinking and having a chant up, about half hour before kick off as one they headed over the road to Finsbury Park to get the tube down to the not so nice end of the S.S Road!! I remember thinking at the time that It'd be unlikely that they'd end up getting any bother! My advice to you my friend, is to attach yourself to a similar group tommorow night and head over there with them.

I went from Finsbury park for the league game earlier in the season and jumped on the bus half hour before ko, police stopped us at 7sisters tube and searched us, put us on camera then marched us up the 2 kms or so towards the stadium - made us half hour late.
Think this time im gona go from liverpool st as i work round there anyway. Get ready for the gauntlet of the **** after the game - best advice is to integrate urself in with the crowd as soon as possible after the game

old tip - but worth repeating. if you get there early enough and want a programme, go and buy it in the spurs shop. they will give it to you in a spurs shop carrier bag (ask for one if they don't). spuds fans looking for gooners after the game probably won't approach you if you are carrying a spurs shop bag, although i'd keep it discreet at the moment you leave the stadium and make it more visible once you manage to mingle.
other than that, it's the basics of street savviness. don't talk about the game. in fact don't talk. walk close behind home fans not looking for trouble who are talking about the game. absolutely no colours. don't ever ever look like you are not sure where you are going. turn your mobile off until you think you are safe to talk on it without attracting attention. in fact if you are on your own and not in possession of a spurs shop carrier, have a pretend conversation on your turned off mobile with a family member/girlfriend about domestic matters - like you are a local and have not even been to a match.
i did this after april 2004 and was right in the middle of loads of them waiting for gooners (having slipped through a garden fence and come out in the back streets). no-one hassled me.
do not lookm like you are too anxious to get out of the area.
basically if you are unlucky you may get some grief, but plan your route out of there and do not look nervous. they can smell that. if you don't have the spurs carrier and are approached, bluff it. make out you didn't know who spurs were playing and ask what the score was.
i'd head for tottenham hale tube as i think there is less chance of being randomly attacked that way if you are away from the police escort which sometimes takes fans that way. but the escort itself does not guarantee safety. being streetwise and sensible is a better bet.
be careful out there.

sorry Gooner.ed holding anything with anything to do with Tottenham is not good for my health and could bring out a rash!
I do agree with turn your phone off though and walking behind spuds but please try not to laugh at there stupid idea of being a big club!
I done this last year after the 2-2 I didnt laugh though but it was hard though when one spud kept saying that was embarrasing lol, the one thing I didnt do was turn my phone off now my Dad always phones me on the event of a Arsenal win or a decent result and I was dreading he would call me as I was walking down seven sisters road telling me to keep safe,
also please let people you know who will call you that your turning your phone off so they dont get worried about you
