Adebayor - New song

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

IMO
"Give him the ball and Ade will score".

Sounds better.

I politely disagree. I think if weve chanted Adebayor twice then theres no real point saying ade again. I prefer 'Give him the ball, and he will score' but thats my opinion

IT'S ALL ABOUT MATCHING THE SYLLABALS IN THE WORDS TO THE RHYTHM OF THE MUSIC. THE ONE YOU PREFER SEEMS TO MISS A BEAT OUT WHEREAS MY SUGGESTION DOESN'T. FOR EXAMPLE:

"GIVE HIM THE BALL
AND A-DE WILL SCORE"

HAS FIVE, AND BOUNCES ALONG BETTER WHEREAS:

"GIVE HIM THE BALL
AND HE WILL SCORE"

ONLY HAS FOUR AND AND MAKES IT NECESSARY TO PROLONG THE LENGTH OF TIME YOU SAY THE WORD 'HE' (AS IN 'HEHE').
