once again as soon as a partnership is being forged between squillaci and Djorou (who i thought in previous years was a liability but fair play to him has looked our strongest defender this year) wengers has put his big name average flop in to justify the over inflated transfer fee. some blame must go to wenger for paying 10 mil for an average player!! i really think if Djorou had played yesterday we would have won that game!! this is basic management skills!!!! its worrying!! wenger needs to be stronger and realise that sometimes he does make mistakes rather than trying to prove to the world he is always right!! its not good for our club and its hurting our chances of winning anything!!! wengers arogance is costing our club dear!!!

I'm not sure that it would have necessarily altered the outcome of the game as Djourou is not without his faults but I think I get your main point.

Djourou has been out for ages and in his first couple of games looked bloody awful to be honest - immobile and positionally all over the place. However, he was arguably our best player in the last 2 games and we looked defensively more tight as a result. He's also got the height to nod away routine set pieces against sides that resort to that style when they're chasing a game.

So what does the GIC do, after praising our so called new found spirit and powers of resolve......changes the defence

What sort of message does that send Djourou ? No matter how well you play son I'm always going to drop you for Mr. Ligue 2 player of the year - a player twice sent off and 1 booking away from another suspension owing to another pathetic piece of judgement yesterday (which then leads to the goal....)

Arsene knows...........and what he knows about defending can be written on the back of a postage stamp with ample room left over

I agree Djourou has looked the better defender so far and Wenger should have gone with the form player.

Koscielny looks slow and has been sent off twice by pulling back players who have done him for pace, though people forget that young defenders often take a while to develop as it was with Adams in the late 80s whom people have had a selective memory about all these years later.

Koscielny is genuinely a championship standard player. Slow, awful positional sense, dives rashly into challenges and so lightweight he gets knocked off the ball far too often.........another bargain basement signing from Wenger (don't believe the Â£8-10m price tag the papers put on him).
This total reliance on average French and African players is slowly destroying us. Wenger just doesn't have a clue, he really doesn't. What can anyone see that makes them think anything is going to change?? We've seen this for 5 years and the only way out is for the fool....and I really do mean fool, in charge to go.

WBA defeat, Chelsea defeat, Newcastle defeat, Tottenham defeat, see the pattern Koacienly played in all 4

Wolves away 2-1 win, Everton away 2-1 win - Djourou played, so why would you drop Djourou who was playing well and had a good understanding to bring back a bloke who has been sent off twice, showed he was slow on the ground and crap in the air

Kos certainly looks to be an awful signing, as bad as Stepanovs and worse than Cygan. Another example of "bargain basement" shopping gone wrong.

I'm sorry but this is very reactionary. As much as I agree Djorou should have played, the criticism of Kos is over the top. He's had a few bad ones, but he's also had some pretty good games. Blaming him for us losing on Saturday is just buck passing. The same was being said about Djourou a few weeks back.
