Think about Cesc in the dressing room yesterday...

Think about Cesc in the dressing room yesterday...

Post by libertine »

He won't be upset by his performance, or the loss.

He will be sitting there smiling to himself, thinking "This time next year, I will be sitting in a dressing room with players like Messi, Iniesta, Villa, Pique, Xavi, etc..."

"I will be playing for a club who win back to back tiles and the Champions League, and not this JOKE of a team!!!"

He won't even look back...

I was at the match yesterday, but in the north bank so couldn't see if it was a penalty or not.

But fuck me, Cesc you are a fucking prick!!!

Fuck off to Barca...

Cesc is the only player in our squad who would get anywhere near the Invincible team.He has been our best player for the last 5 years and has carried the team.He wants to get out because like us he can see where the club is going under Wenger. He wants to win trophies.Like Henry had to go to Barca to win the CL Wouldnt you want to play alongside Messi Xavi and Iniesta than Denilson Diaby and Song?.When he does go i will say thank you and good luck to him as he has been a great Arsenal player

Cesc gave away a penalty with an absolutely stupid handball but yesterday he was everywhere on the pitch and one man can only do so much on his own. He was at the heart of every good move we had in the 1st half and in the 2nd half he was coming deep to try and set up attacks plus helping chamakh in trying to close down their defenders when they were passing the ball around their backline.

People seem to see cesc as an easy target to blame now just cos he had the nerve to look to join a better team and question the ambitions of this club and that aint on in my book. In my opinion when you look at cesc this season it is easy to see a guy who is clearly unhappy and not as committed as in the past but as long as he puts in the workload and effort then I will support him and yesterday he did that. Try watching how he actually plays in a game and judge any criticism you might have on that particular game as opposed to how last summer events affected you cos what we watched yesterday was far from cesc's fault (the penalty aside of course)

Haha, it really is laughable when you think about it... Diaby, Denilson, Bendtner, Flappy. Or Messi, Iniesta, Villa, Valdes. I just had to say it again as it really does make me laugh.

That penalty was so ridiculous it's also laughable. If you watch it again Cesc tries pulling Chamakhs arm with his... Idiot!!

I agree. It's all very well slating him but what are we going to replace him with. Almost certainly Wilshere or Ramsey - both competent but not in the same class - or a Ligue 2 standard signing we've never heard of.

His reaction at the end of the game yesterday was borne out of complete and utter frustration. He was barred from leaving the club and the manager has tried to persuade him that we've learned our lessons and we're on the right track. Tossing away points like that will only make Cesc realise that if he wants to be successful he needs to move. Same applied for Van Persie who at his age, and with his talent, really should be looking for a move to one of the top clubs in Europe

Depends on whether Barca have the funds. He won't join City or Madrid so not sure who else could come into the running for him.

Well when we come second in our CL group and draw Barcelona in first knock out round i am sure he will love the opportunity to watch it from the stands whilst resting for the next La Liga match

It's a real shame but the fact is that you're spot on. We're no longer one of the top clubs in Europe. We've been left behind whilst Wenger has been saving up for nothing at all.

All the fans know what this club needs and the positions which need strengthening. We've been saying the same thing for years and still nobody listens and we pay the price every year.

Cesc knows whats wrong with this club and could you really blame him for going to the best team in Europe bearing in mind Arsenal are sinking around him? I definitely wouldn't. If I was in his shoes, I'd do exactly the same thing. We had the chance this summer to strengthen, to show cesc we do mean business, and we bought some unknown defender, and another unknown defender, and a free transfer. Brilliant.

Cesc and Nasri were our best players yesterday and he looked like he was about to burst into tears walking off the pitch yesterday. He's one of our most passionate players but is not a natural leader. There's only so much one player can do to drag this shit team out of the dust.

according to the press and the spanish goals roound up on sky sports barcelona are financially in the shit and only have 20 or 30 million to spend next summer and most of that will be spent on a defender from spain

Stupid handball yesterday but its true, one man can only do so much. He was running the show in the first half then the rest just stopped playing.

I would not blame him at all if he left.
