As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
In response to the totally pointless "players to get us back where we belong" thread.
And to be used as a future reference by the AKB, instead of the usual "who would replace him" shite that they usually come up with.
Hiddink
Rijkaard
Van Gaal
Mourinho (probably missed the boat here, but you never know)
Koemann (with DB as assistant)
Moyes
O' Neill (simply to restore passion and committment)
Coyle (a gamble but could do worse)
You may not agree with them all and I'm sure some won't agree with any

Mourinho, and at a stretch van Gaal. I like Moyes but, mmm....
I really have a hunch that Coyle could be good for us and not just because bolton are in good form at the moment.
The guy likes to play passing football but is also an organiser and a motivator, just seeing the energy of the guy on the touchline is pleasing. I think he could be the guy to reinvigorate the club, we have some good players here they just need to be woken the fuck up.

The rest are bollocks.
What are you saying? No point in swapping like for like?

Hmmm.... a bit harsh on Coyle there Marc, he's done wonders at Bolton at the short time he's been there. I know it's early days for him, but compared to where Bolton were and where they are now with him at the helm, the transformation he's made there has been immense imo.
My knowledge of foreign coaches is quite limited but out of the british game I would say Owen Coyle or David Moyes. This may be a bit of a risk and would also take a bit of getting used to as we haven't had a british coach since 96. But I reckon either of them wouldn't take any shit, will sort out our defensive frailties, shake up the backroom staff and give a fresh look about the place.
If a player is here because of Arsene Wenger you can go because you need to be here because it's The Arsenal. Owen Coyle encourages attractive football and think he would relish making the step up, whilst being passionate and determined. David Moyes likewise would immediatly address the weaknesses. A lot of people will say that they havent won anything but neither had George Graham and will a more talented squad at Arsenal either of them could thrive
At the end of the day, changing the manager will be a big upheaval and we may not get it right at the first attempt eg Houston and Rioch, but a change is required no matter how painful for some.
English managers are highly overrated. None ever seem to have experience or knowledge of the games outside of their own country.
The exception would be McClaren. Before you berate me with his brolly I not advocating him as a choice for Arsenal but....The mans furthered himself by managing aboard and not in obscure leagues.
Personally he jumped into the England job far to quick. He needed the foreign experience first.
