Team vs Spuds

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Im disgusted..5-1 against ANY team in ANY competition with ANY team we put out is unacceptable..

We were just not up for it..BIG improvemnet needed..i just hope our season dont crumble around us now..

PS...Robbie Keane is a *word censored* of the highest order..closely followed by EVERYBODY and THING associated with the spuds..

Excuss the rant..just disappointed

Hleb man of the match wayno :?: :?: :?: Are you having a laugh :?: He was fcuking awful tonight losing posession and twisting and turning like a spinning top going nowhere - a bit like the hleb of old if you like  Theo played bad alright but the lack of passion/interest was a disgrace and if he aint got the bottle then sell him

If we are honest we never looked like winning the tie at any point either tonight or in the 1st leg. Have to say that once we went 3 down I would never have brought on ade or dude for fear of getting injured cos that game was long gone

ADMITTEDLY WE HAD THAT COMING WITH THE TEAM SELECTION. I EXPECTED US TO LOSE BUT WANTED US TO AVOID A SPANKING. ALAS, THERE IS NO GETTING AWAY FROM IT, THAT WAS A BEATING.

IS TOO CLOSE TO THE FINAL WHISTLE TO GO INTO ALL THE WHYS AND WHEREFORES, BUT I DO NEED TO SAY THAT DIABY WAS ONCE AGAIN ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING. :x :x EVERYTIME THE MAN PICKS UP THE BALL HE HOLDS ONTO IT TOO LONG BEFORE RUNNING INTO THE INEVITABLE CUL-DE-SAC. WHEN IS THIS GUY GOING TO LEARN TO PLAY TEAM FOOTBALL? SINCE HIS RETURN FROM INJURY DIABY HAS BEEN A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!

WELL, THAT'S THEIR FIRST WIN IN 22; ONLY THE SECOND TIME THEY HAVE BEATEN US IN 30 MATCHES (WHICH IS MORE THAN 3/4 OF A FULL LEAGUE SEASON!! ); EVEN THEN IT WAS ONLY AGAINST OUR RESERVE SIDE WHICH HAD JUST 3 FIRST-TEAM STARTERS IN IT; WE'VE TAKEN 6 POINTS OFF THEM IN THE LEAGUE AND THAT IS FAR MORE IMPORTANT TO US - BEING A TITLE CHASING TEAM, UNLIKE SPURS - THUS THE REASON FOR OUR TEAM SELECTION. THAT SHOULD DO FOR STARTERS! 8)

ALTHOUGH SOME MAY THINK THIS IS PROBABLY NOT THE TIME, I'M GOING TO FINISH ON A POSITIVE. WHEN THE MATCH WENT 2-0 TO THE SPUDS, I HAD A FLASHBACK TO THE LAST TIME WE LOST TO LONDON NEIGHBOURS IN THE SEMI-FINALS OF THIS COMPETITION. THE YEAR WAS 1998 AND WE HAD JUST LOST TO CHELSEA. NOW I'M SURE I DON'T HAVE TO REMIND YOU ALL OF WHAT HAPPENED COME MAY IN THAT SEASON!! 8)
