arsene, please just send the boy away on loan, or admit hes not up 2 i,t and get a couple a million for him before the window shuts. between now and the end of the season, realisticly how many games with theo start 2, 3 if hes lucky. the lad is ok for 20 mins at the end of a game, when the opposition r trieing. id luv the lad 2 do well, and can undersatnd those who try and back him up, but its simple, THEO IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR ARSENAL FOOTBALL CLUB.
I would love to agree but i can't convince myself. I defended him from a lot of abuse during the game tonight from fellow gooners but they are right when they say he dawdles on the ball and lost the ball in the build up to one goal.burns718 wrote:as iv'e said diaby is top draw, but must play central
I'd love him to be the new viera in centre but if he was im sure mr wenger would play him there, and unfortunately he is not a winger. So far he is so hit and miss, he could be our very own sissoko...
talking about having off days....gallas tonight?!?!?!

I agree he had a bad game! and I do have my seeds of doubt but I think getting rid of him would be a mistake. im not sure of the deal signd for him but I bet we would not make profit from a sale. he still has potential I would stick with him for the time beinggus ceasar is a legend wrote:It was 4-0 Steary!stearmaster wrote:i think wenger got it wrong should of brought the big boys on at ht instead of 3-0 down
Agreed.............best thing we can do in the transfer window is to let him go and SEE if he can learn his trade elsewhere and come back to us as useful!

i think diaby hogs the ball, tonight he kept the ball far too long and run into a bunch of white shirts...that is not how Arsenal play football we pass. Theo on the other hand he did not get the service tonight but maybe goin on loan may help him...he doesnt seem up to it at our level atm so maybe regular footy will help.
but we cant afford to send players away atm unless wenger is planning to buy players, i do not think we have depth of squad :S

FFS he's 18, I think what he needs to do is build up his strength and get more confident...I think he'll come good and he's shown what he can do in past games (Slavia Prague, Chelsea in the Carling Cup, his debut against Aston Villa) but tonight he probably had one of his worst games he has had for us but saying that I'd say most of the team probably did.

I think he is out of form and low on confidance. A loan spell may be a good idea but I still trust AW and a lot of people on here were saying the same things on here about Eddy a few weeks ago. What hurts me the most is it looked like Spuds wanted it more than us and over 2 legs were much the better team

We cant really afford to loan him out at this stage, our squad is thin enough. But if he doesnt show remarkable improvent by the end of the season and with Vela arriving next season, Theo should be loaned out to a middle to a premier league club where he is guaranteed first team football more often than not.
As are Bolton, Slavia, Portugal, Bulgaria, Ireland. Oh and didn't this poor team push us to 2-2 at one point and hold Man U for 88 minutes or something like that?burns718 wrote:
there is a reason for that and its that sunderland are a shit championship standard team
The guy is 18 not 24, give him time.
I just dont think he's gonna make it. Everybody's on about he's only 18 - dont buy that. How old is Cesc, he was only 18 when he came into the side and unknown from Spain. Theo's too lightweight and if everybody thinks he should be playing CF why doesnt the Boss play him there! I dont understand why the Boss continually plays a lot of the players out of position. Thought the Boss fucked up big time last night.

Offer him on loan to Newcastle for the rest of this season. They would take him in a heartbeat and he would get regular first team football there. He might benefit from playing regularly and we might get to see what he is really like then.
If at the end of the season we are still not impressed enough to bring him back then sell him on.

Well Vela is 18 and not broken into our side, same with Traore, might as well sell them now. Cesc is a world class midfielder who has had the benefits of a strong education at Barca and ourselves, not everybody reaches such heights and few so early. Hleb came over at 24 and lots of people had doubts about him, at 26 few would sell him, Flamini was not a first choice till he was 23, Henry wasn't a world class striker at 18
Germany's best young keeper Rensing isn't a regular at 23, yet few doubt his time will come.

I totally agree. To be fair i think the management of him has been wrong since he came. He obviously had (and i personally think still has) alot of potential, but to continue developing needed first team football, which he was never going to get straight away here. This Is The Daybreak wrote:FFS he's 18, I think what he needs to do is build up his strength and get more confident...I think he'll come good and he's shown what he can do in past games (Slavia Prague, Chelsea in the Carling Cup, his debut against Aston Villa) but tonight he probably had one of his worst games he has had for us but saying that I'd say most of the team probably did.
Dont write theo off though!! Playing out of position, and irregularly, isnt really helping him. As 'this is daybreak' said he has shown he can produce the goods! I think we should aim to loan him to premiership team to help get some experience playing in the EPL.
Look how Bentley came on after his loan spells, and after he went to Blackburn!
said this a very long time ago & was very happy to see the back of him when he went off, piece of shit last night & if only Ade did start cos Theo doesn't know where he is playing on the field when one week he's on the wing then a striker, the man is a striker FFS & he isn't banging in goals for us, 1 last season & 3 this season which of course is better but he needs to break away on a run which i thought could happen last night

we should have brought walcott but left him on loan at southampton for at least a year maybe two,i recon he would be the player we were all expecting if that had happened.
wenger continues to knock the lads confidence every time he plays him wide,a year loan elsewhere is the only way forward now.
maybe when he comes back after a year he will have learnt not to treat the ball as if it were a hot potato.
