Carling Cup Semi-Final

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

not just the traffic, but they assumed all the traffic (including me) were Norwich fans with the pathetic abuse. Be good to show em what real away boys are like :barscarf:

and for your information, born and raised in Enfield, live in norwich FOR WORK PERPOSES! 8)

Wenger's babes will never ever have a better chance of lifting the Carling Cup Victory against Ipswich over 2 legs, and we should be capable of beating Brum or Wet Spam
You obviously don't remember playing "wet spam" in the 1980 cup final then mate when we should have been "capable" of beating them  :banghead:

I think the other one as this beat it by a whole minute!

I've been to Ipswich many times. Two that stick in the memory though were a little....unsavoury. The first was being in a pub close to the ground (across a market square?) which was dismantled almost brick by brick by fellow gooners. I recall being outside by the time roof tiles were being thrown. It was wrong....but still kind of funny in a way.

The second was sitting with a group of mates amongst the home fans and pouring a pint (my memory is of doing it in slow motion....) over a tractor boy who decided - somewhat unwisely - to aim his goal celebrations in my direction!

Hope I can make it to this one as well..... :barscarf: !
One away to the turnip crunchers that always sticks in my mind is a first day of the season game, about 77/78. Untold gooners all over the place, and remember one Arsenal geezer getting up into the rafters of the stand, walking ove rto where he was above the Ipswich fans and pissed on them    It was also the day the ref took the players off the pitch for about 10 minutes because of a violent thunderstorm. As we were losing 1-0 at that point we were hoping for it to be abandoned but alas we came back out to complete a 1-0 defeat  Away to Ipswich was always an eventful day out tho
