I'm glad people have stuck up for Kos on here.
He simply isn't shit.
Yes he needs to improve, but he is entirely capable of that in my opinion.

Yesterday in the clash of heads he concentrated on the ball and did his best to carry on to thwart a danger. Earlier on in the game he made two very good interception as Fulham were trying to thread the ball through to Kamara.

The biggest issue I have with him, is he appears to be very quiet on the pitch. We need someone to marshal the defence at the moment and simply don't have that person

It's just silly to write Kos off after a half season. It can take some players two seasons to get used to the pace and power of the PL. Maybe he needs a loan spell or something, but then we are light on defenders as it is... If we had TV5 fit and playing maybe Kos would get up to speed quicker by playing alongside him.

I think the fact that he cost 10m after playing only 1 season in france's top division depite being 25 years old has put a lot more pressure on the guy to succeed. Personally while I accept that the price tag should have some bearing on expectations or judgements, for me the ultimate judgement is ability and whether a player is good enough to play for us and again I would suggest that we are getting more positive return on the guy than we are for the relative pittance we paid for squillachi :o It is the same way some fans have raved about chamakh and referred to the cost as a reason but if we got diaby/almunia/bedtner for nothing would they be as quick to class it as a huge success ? That is not me slating chamakh cos I do think he has done well for us albeit he has faded in recent games imo

My cards on the table '91. I love AW. I seriously dislike self proclaimed 'realists' who think they know best, and level abuse at the players AW has faith in. This is my stance, and is no reason for a ban.

posted this on the recently locked thread, gonna paste it here:

you guys are amazing, really.

the guy played only a few games, has a LOT to adapt since he only had ONE season at a top league (can i call the french league a top league? maybe not) and still after less than half a season you call him a c**t and want him to leave.

what did you guys say after a few weeks of signing bergkamp, henry and pires? did you call them useless c**ts as well? or did you wait for them to adapt and become brilliant footballers?

i'm not saying kosciely is any good, because i don't know and neither do any of you. wait till he plays a fucking entire season for us, and then start your usual moaning

did henry start as badly as kos? :?

BG your a good poster but that was embarassing. kos has looked shaky in every game he's played bar maybe villa away. I'm going to be patient with him but from what I've seen hes no confidence instiller
