As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
do tell us your memories of your first ever game or are you only 4 now in which case maybe you can just about remember anything! what a load of bollocks . taking three year olds with theattention span of a goldfish to a football match is bloody stupid and aint done for the kids sake-its done to make dad feel good
I agree Roly. I took my daughter to see Arsenal ladies at my local non league ground during the summer she enjoyed it but 5 minutes into the second half she found a little friend and spent the rest of the time running around with them. Now at a half full non league ground watching the ladies it didnt matter but i wouldnt do it to other fans at the Grove. Just for the record i was 8 when my dad took me to my first game at Highbury and i think thats about the right age
well done. exceptional circumstances save of course you must have deprived some longstanding gooner the privilege of being there. bet your kiddie knew there was going to be firework display.i could have done with one on saturday -a firework that is - and shoved it up kids backside.

It wasn't the final game Roly, it was a run of the mill 3-0 victory over Charlton.
atleast you could sing and shout over her! the fuking misserable old *word censored* behind me at the scum game last month, telling me to - be quite, stop swearing, sit down! of all fuking games aswell.
and hes obviously a ST holder bcos he was chatting away to people around him all the way through.
but i dont agree with a screaming fuking child either, i give up on home games now!
As a long term occupant of the Family Enclosure, that is what it is for. Chippy Jnr has been going since he was 5 (now 15). Obviously in there (apart from Cannon Club) everyone has a kid with them so understands the issues. It does still get v.annoying. The worst ones are the fuckers (sorry) darlings who kick the seat all the way through.
I think you really shouldn't take very young kids to other parts of the ground.
ROLY I dont have any kids (i know about anyway ), but I have young cousins and friends with kids, and yes I have friend (QPR fan ) with a 4 year old daughter who is always pestering him to bring her with him to the games. He brought her once and the start of the season and yes he said was more interested in the counting clock and going to mcdonalds after than the actual game. He said she obviously didnt really want to watch football, just see where her dad went most weekends without her.
Yep a screeching kid in my ear would annoy me, but i personally if it was that bad would have had a word with the dad, just to quieten her a bit. But you're wrong there are kids that age who want to go to the football (not nessisarilly to watch the game).
It's all a conspiracy against you roly..........I would have put money on abramovich being behind it but I couldnt get any of the bookies to give me decent odds
