you guys are amazing, really.

the guy played only a few games, has a LOT to adapt since he only had ONE season at a top league (can i call the french league a top league? maybe not) and still after less than half a season you call him a c**t and want him to leave.

what did you guys say after a few weeks of signing bergkamp, henry and pires? did you call them useless c**ts as well? or did you wait for them to adapt and become brilliant footballers?

i'm not saying kosciely is any good, because i don't know and neither do any of you. wait till he plays a fucking entire season for us, and then start your usual moaning
did henry start as badly as kos? :?

BG your a good poster but that was embarassing. kos has looked shaky in every game he's played bar maybe villa away. I'm going to be patient with him but from what I've seen hes no confidence instiller
i think henry missed as many clear chances as koscielny was responsible for goals in their first arsenal months, mate. of course i'm not comparing, henry is a football god and koscielny probably just somewhere between an average and a decent defender, what i'm trying to say is that you can't judge a player who still has physical work to do and a lot of adaptation to do in his first months!

don't forget that we DON'T know how to defend as a team, that our defensive midfielder thinks he is messi (with the approval of our manager) and that leaves our centrebacks having to deal with tough situations a lot more than necessary - and in that particular case, koscielny is probably the best tackler in our team. he has to work a lot on his physical side as well as on his positioning, but a defender who doesn't miss a tackle in a team that can't defend isn't something you call useless.

most players needs time to adapt, not everyone is a thomas vermaelen, who was born to play in the premier league.

Its not the point that he could be good, the point is that we spent that much money on a un proven CB that needs time.

I would rather Wenger not of spent that much and used one of our kids play half the season to let them adapt.

Why did we sign someone that needs this much time? He is very weak and needs about 4 years solid gym work before he could be slightly ready. Way to error prone but a good tackler of the ball.

There is no time for sentiment for me when it comes to Arsenal. I wish he was out the season so Wenger is forced to sign someone of quality.

Yes - he did! :D
but comparing a striker (then winger) to a defender isn't a great comparison.
I do agree with BG having just read this thread now in full.

I agree Kos is shaky at times and to rash to dive in when it would be better closing in and staying on your feet.
It's his first season and his been literally thrown in the deep end.
There is something 'british' about his style....maybe that's his undoing.

TV is our first choice but with out him the other 3 have their faults.
Djourou just edges it but sadly lacks pace. However, his ability to read the game makes up for this.

Still think we need another centre back to go with the other 4.

What's with Nordviet?
I was explaining to **** on Saturday. Highly rated, possible future captain got great reviews from loan spells but yet he's still to make his debut.
Why? :?

Yeah I'm awaiting Nordtveit. He's captain of Norway U21s and has spent an entire season playing in the bundesliga as a regular. Hope to see him versus Ipswich.

Wenger paid 10million for this guy, and quite frankly he has been a fucking liability. Wenger being his stubborn self will stick with him even if Djorou plays well in his absence.
This totally unacceptable problem with our defence has been going on now for 6 fucking seasons, Wenger has tried various methods to sort it out from over the hill utd has beens to bringing back Sol Campbell.
The myth surrounding TV being top class is as mystifying as it is absurd, "he is decent " at best.
And now here we are in a position coming into a critical point in the season, with some huge head to heads, and we have only 2 fit cb, and one of those Djorou, is an injury waiting to happen.
This will inevetibly result in the clueless Wenger playing Song at cb and blaming bad luck, to excuse his incompetence.

F365 just tweeted this
Laurent Koscielny has been on the pitch for 63% of Arsenal's PL season but 83% of the goals conceded.
Just saying.

The article says could be out for three weeks, it doesn't say it's definite.

I would be amazed if concussion kept him out for three weeks. Three days maybe.

Only a madman would spend £10m on a "prospect" who may turn out to be good :banghead: take a bow Wenger. And Djourou is bound to get injured as he always does so its down to you Squillaci   FFS buy a quality CB who can defend
