Worst feeling after a game?
With the spuds enjoying their "Giant Killing night" and how pissed off i was not only that we had succumbed to the trophy equivalent of Everton but also how down that i was. I had suspected that a negative result was coming so i was ready for it, so have i felt a lot worse than this by miles!!!!
Just an idea but chuck your thoughts on here about Your most crushing games you have seen us lose.
Mine would have to be Chelsea at home in the champions league, just destroyed me..........
Ps. the Spuds celebrated like nothing else last night and we should take that as a compliment it shows the vast expectations of the two clubs if nothing else.
AFC
C'mon

Chelsea, Champions' League QF 2nd leg, 1-2
Man U, c1991, 1-4
Man U, c2000, 1-6
Spurs, c1983, 0-5
Barcelona, CL Final, 1-2
Ipswich, FAC Final 1978, 0-1
West Ham, FAC Final 1980, 0-1
Wrexham, FAC c1984, 1-2(?)
Valencia, ECWC Final, 1980, penalties
York City, c1982, 1-2(?)
Man U, FAC SF, 1999, 1-2
The Chelsea CL one trumps it for me too though, and not only because I hate the fuckers more than any other team - we were in control until the 2nd half of the 2nd leg and then got tired. We could have won the Euro Cup that year. Thank god Chavski screwed up the semi.

This defeat hurt a lot. In terms of significance and long-term, this wasn’t that bad but in the manner it was, very painful. I got quite sad when we lost against Chelsea at Champions League quarter-finals; if we’d gone through, we would have met Wenger’s ex-team, Monaco and then Porto. Surprisingly Barcelona defeat didn’t hurt me as I was kind-of ready for the defeat as we were playing with ten men for a long time.

Top 3 for me are
1)Arsenal 1 Barcelona 2 May 2006
Number one in the most gutted I've felt after a game. We were 15 minutes away!!!...so many ifs and buts that game, IF Lehmann had not been sent off, IF Henry showed composure in front of goal for at least one of the chances (I can't help but think he would have buried that one when he's through on goal in the second half)...My mate and I were in Paris and we never uttered a word to each other from the moment they went 2-1 up to the next day pretty much.
2)Arsenal 1 Man Utd 2 April 1999
3)Arsenal 1 Chelsea 2 April 2004
4)Real Zaragoza 2 Arsenal 1 May 1995
5)Liverpool 2 Arsenal 1 May 2001
Funny how they're all 2-1s

I was in Cardiff for that one and to be honest the result was so ridiculous, I thought it was funny - we were so dominant, that Swiss defender of Pool's handballed on the line twice, we missed various sitters, Vieira gave Gerrard a lesson in how to play centre-mid.... and then we lost!libertinelee wrote:liverpool in the fa cup final...

Without a shadow of doubt Swindon 3-1 AET in 1969
However, I'll repeat what I've posted elsewhere. The glass is half full: close your eyes and think of DB10's goal v Newcastle and Dabizas' expression, almost any of Thierry's 226 goals, Pires v Aston Villa, We love you Freddie in Cardiff.
Now think of one thing the spuds can celebrate over the same period? You got it - last night, and maybe the undeserved equaliser when we last won the league at SHL...

Worst feeling ever
Two have to stand out..
Man U 1999 FA Cup Semi...watching that hairy little prick swinging his shirt about & the lowlife scumbags swarming around like the vermin they are.
Liverpool 2001 FA Cup Final....no i still dont know how it happened 7 years later.

my worst defeat live, would definitly have 2 be that champ league qf v the chavs. i sat in my seat in the north bank for 15 mins after the game trying 2 take it in, awfull feeling.
watching on telly, in a bar in sydney, the 2001 cup final, was definitly the most depressed, ive ever felt watching the game on tv. made worse by the fact all the thick fecking aussies were shouting for liverpool.
the first time i cryed when loseing a game, was the 1987 littlewoods cup semi-final 1-2 at home 2 the yidos, was only 13 at the time, but we got the last laugh on them (again) that season 2.
