ANY DECENT KEEPERS OUT THERE?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

ANY DECENT KEEPERS OUT THERE?

Post by Chunky The Gooner »

Hello there!

This isnt a wind up. My 5 a side team are off to Amsterdam next friday afternoon/evening for a tournament. Our keeper now cant come. Are there any decent goalkeepers out there who fancy a weekend in Amsterdam? Basically as much as we want to win the 4 team tournament (we aint great!) it will be Friday night drinking and sight seeing! Saturday morning sleeping Saturday afternoon Tournament then out on the piss again and home Sunday afternoon. The cost of each players entry to the tournament and 2 nights in the hotel is £110 .The competition is run by EUROFIVES and there are medals for 1st and 2nd place. Please PM if serious as I have to get the money off and get the names on the hotel list.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE £110 DOESNT INCLUDE YOUR AIRFARE WHICH LAST TIME I LOOKED WAS £101

Cheers Chunky The Gooner

I would love to join you chunky but I already have plans. Have a great time in the Banana Bar and I hope you find a decent keeper.

Try asking Lehmann he doesn't have any engagements.

I know that there's a clever "Seaman" joke out there somewhere, but I can't be bothered to craft it.

And I don't want to clog up this thread with useless puns and wordplay [smilie=row1_27.gif]

Good luck Chunky

SORRY CHUNKY, WOULD LOVE TO HELP BUT THE THOUGHT OF PAYING A MINIMUM OF £211 (NOT INCLUDING ITEMS LIKE FOOD AND DRINK) FOR A COUPLE OF GAMES OF 5-ASIDE FOOTBALL - ALTHOUGH AN EXCITING PROPOSITION - DOESN'T MAKE SENSE TO ME. ANYWAY, IT IS WAY BEYOND MY FINANCIAL MEANS FOR LUXURIES.

I fear if you can't get the "weedmeister" out to Amsterdam, then it looks bleak my friend.

How longs does a 5-a-side game last? I'm sure you could hire someone when you get out there

Chunks!

As a few people here know I played a pretty decent standard in goal........several pints of Guinness and a few Benson & Hedges ago!

Make a deal wit the Doris and whatever she offers you I will pay double to come!
