Bournemouth Gooner will know, he is into it.

Thursdays at Bar Rumba called "Movement" used to be a good night, more Drum n Bass really but they had this Brazilian DJ called Markie who is very good.

I would pop into Black Market Records (B-M Soho) 25 D'Arblay Street London W1F 8EJ -

Nearest tube: Oxford Circus on Victoria and Bakerloo and Central Lines.

They have good dubstep section and will have flyers/leaflets for clubs in there.

I can heartily NOT recommend any night at 'matter'. From my experiences there, it's been a corporate sanitised version of a dubstep night with a terrible rig. If you wanna hear a frequency apart from low end mud then certainly stick away from there!

Mass in Brixton is where DMZ is held but they are usually quite secretive about when the events are. I haven't checked the dubstep forums in at least a year now as I sadly don't really follow it anymore but I would certainly recommend checking out the forum that Quartz has posted above.

You're coming to the home of dubstep and now it's in the charts it truly is everywhere. Dig about a bit though. The underground nights with massive rigs tend to be the best ones rather than the 'trendy' nightclubs that have jumped on the bandwagon and are playing the music through tinny speakers.

If you fancy a little trek across the country then Bristol has one of the best dubstep scenes in my opinion. The Black Swan (if it is still open) or Lakota were the biiig ones if I remember rightly.

funny that you mention BM Soho Quartz, as a friend of mine has already asked me to go there and buy some vinyls or discs for him! will surely go there and take a look! cheers!!

cheers for the tip, mate. to be honest i understand that the fabric is probably one of those 'trendy nightclubs' you mentioned, but i like the fact that i know some bits from a few of the people that will play there! and it's some seriously good shit!!!

and about the sound, bournemouthRED told me the sound at the fabric is actually quite good! have you ever been there?

i'm pretty excited about going there, i must say!

Fabric is quite "trendy" and well known to an extent but this is for good reason. It's one of the best venues in town & regularly hosts a lot of the most respected artists in the business. And their sound system is top class!

Fabric has been around a good while and does have a top quality sound system. I didn't feel the need to recommend it since it'd already been mentioned

I will however recommend it now since it is a great club regardless of how well known it is or not. It has been championing music (as opposed to whatever is currently 'in') for about a decade now - which a lot of these 'dubstep clubs' have not. Well worth a visit!

To be honest I didn't realise that Fabric was still going.

It opened during my era and I went there once or twice but as it was the 'super-club' of its age it always seemed a bit contrived and sterile to me. It was never about how much you enjoyed yourself these but rather how you looked and who you was with.

Now Strawberry Sunday at Vauxhall, Cafe de Paris and Club UK were another matter!
