FLAPPY OR CHESNY IN GOAL AGAINST CHAVS
FLAPPY OR CHESNY IN GOAL AGAINST CHAVS
What do people think?
Flappy or chesny?
for me I would let chesny keep the position as I think he has more chance of winning us some points

Whilst I understand the clamour to get Sczezezezezezsny in goal, I wish people would also see why it is important not to over-hype they guy and pin all our hopes on him.
No matter how talented he is, if Sczezezezezezsny was to play the rest of the season as first choice I guarantee you he would make as many fuck ups as Fabinaski through inexperience. The exact same thing that is the root cause for the best part of Fabs mistakes.
Fabianski IS a talented, if raw, goalkeeper. His errors are largely due to inexperience and poor judgement, not technique and skill.
We all want the perfect 'keeper now but can people not see that in the long run we are better off nurturing Sczezezezezezsny's undoubted talent rather than risking it? Nobody minds now that Wilshere's development was managed and included a spell out of the side and on loan. Why should it be different for Sczezezezezezsny?
Let Sczezezezezezsny play the cup games this season and continue his education. There are big enough games there for him to start to understand pressure and how to deal with it.
Like I say, I do understand why the world and his wife wants to see Sczezezezezezsny between the posts but let's not get too carried away just yet.

In a way I agree with percy (
I know
)........chesney is believed to be the great hope but then again so was bently, aliadaire, senderos etc so maybe it is dangerous to be building everything around him just yet ? I feel that if flaps had not shown the major improvement in his performances of late this debate would be redundant cos we all would vote chesney but the fact is that prior to his inj flaps was playing well after getting his first proper run in the team and I aint so sure it should be taken off him now tbh. Saying all that I do prefer my keepers to be physically intimidating for the opposition and flaps is built like a scarecrow.....I dont know who to vote for

It's easily forgotten that Flaps was conceding goals by the bucketload before his "injury" which kept him out of the the Man U game (his first "high pressure game", lest we forget, even though he was un-injured sufficiently to be on the bench). Ok, our defence is shit, and Flaps didn't have any "I'll pick up a back-pass and step aside while the other team score the goal" style fuck ups, but at least Szczesny screams at his defence, appears to be concerned with helping them out, and actually looks like a keeper. I'd give him a run in the team starting now... if he turns out to not be good enough, we have a month to sign a mentor for him to learn from.augie wrote:In a way I agree with percy (I know
