Not sure about that. When you're beating Chelsea, the only important thing is that game - I don't think Wenger was looking ahead.
I think it was a typical Wenger substitution; when under the cosh... forward off, midfielder on. I thought it robbed us of pace and an outlet, and I thought we were in danger of inviting more pressure on than was necessary.
Still, we won and no harm was done. I'm sure many will agree with the substitution, but for me it was a poor decision. (Not as odd as taking Chamakh off for Eboue in the closing minutes at Goodison, but still - not great)
Personally if Diaby was to come on I'd have taken off Wilshere- a bit more solidity in the centre of the pitch whilst still having walcott to hit them on the break since he was keeping ashley cole pinned back and generally looked likely to torture them at any minute. Still, as people have said, you won anyway- and a very deserved (and strangely comfortable) win it was too. Not sure about the title race- at the minute man united look like near certainties, but they still arent the side they were and if you can beat them then its wide open

was thinking the same thing really
jack looked tired near the end & some bloke behind me was ranting and raving because we then had ''no pace to trouble their defence, wengers lost it''
nonetheless, got the win
An awful lot of foul mouthed words came out of my mouth watching that game last night which would normally be ok but my 6 and 8 year olds were watching the game with me Had to go through the whole story about how john terry's father is a drug dealer and mother is a thief
I also thought substituting a magnificent Theo with a rusty Diaby was a really poor decision. Theo's pace and FA's yellow card meant the latter's forward movement was very restricted. It also emphasises just how much of Chelski's attacking relies on their left back's movement forward and how much we lost from ours when he deserted us.
Nevertheless, full marks to the team for their commitment and Arsene on the general tactics, so hopefully this fantastic result will give the team the 'leg up' they so desperately needed. We've a score to settle now with Wigan - I think it was 3-2 - so hopefully that's added motivation.

Been waiting a while to hit the *word censored* with that one, felt sweet though
By far my best experience at the Grove last night, thought i was dreaming at 3-0.
-Djourou was immense, the SS/LC partnership should never see the light of day again unless there is no alternative.
-Theo for all his faults gives us a completely new dimension and has to play from now on
-People are looking for passion? Look at our number 19.

Me too, especially as I can spot myself celebrating the second and third goals on the telly
Well, first morning I've woke up in a good mood for ages. Thought we were good but not brilliant, Chavs were below par. Was marking Song's fcuk-ups, but to be fair he had a good game. It's lucky he scored cos if he hadn't and they had got the ball away he was in no man's land again!

I didn't have time to watch the recording of the game when I got home but I thought Song had a great game, he was everywhere......including defence! The whole team played well as a unit, although Clichy gave us a couple of heart stopping moments as usual and Kos continues to show he is pretty poor - nowhere for the goal and his passing was bloody awful!
Overall a fantastic win that we just had to get and we now have to maintain that level of commitment against everyone, not just the big boys.
