I agree to some extent certainly, though in the end the Board has the final say on all matters, so they are ultimately responsible, because they approved the business projects that made less resources available to the manager than normal by reducing our cash flow significantly from 2005.
Just as now they can instruct the manager that he should use more of the resources now available once again and clearly have not and have shown no desire to.

We lost 2 points last night cos (a) wenger made a ridiculous amount of changes to a team coming off the back of their best result and performance for a long long time (b) this move in all likelihood insulted wigan who havent lost a game at hom for 3 months (mustnt have played the geordies or baggies at home yet eh ) (c) the players brought into the team, and these are wenger's players, are clearly not good enough and in the vast majority of cases never will be Losing one of the biggest donkeys to represent our club in recent years (diaby) and seeing jack brought on is what changed our game so dont go fcuking telling me that the team wenger picked was good enough to win that game cos we were absolute muck until jack came on
Lastly if you think that penno given against us was the worst you have ever seen then I would suggest you either havent been a footie fan for very long or you need to go into a fcuking corner and have a chat with yourself cos even though it was never a pen it was far from the worst decision ever made
Pure arrogance from Wenger and a lot of the good work done on Monday has now been undone. What is this with resting players, going to the game last night I was still on a high from the Chelsea game and am sure the players would have been. Before the Chelsea game the players hadn't played for two weeks!...I wish I could get rested from work that often, the fans spend the effort and money to go to Chelsea, Wigan, Birmingham in a week...is it too much to ask the players to be able to play a little bit more over christmas.

Instead of crying about penalties that were and weren't given, you've got to wake up and smell the beans mate. The team selection was wrong, end of. He admitted a few weeks ago that players like Wilshere would play today, tomorrow and the next day because they love it. But no, the stupid fool thinks he can take the piss out of Wigan, make 8 changes and think he can get away with it.
He gambled and fucking lost and rather than roll onto an even more difficult game at Brum with confidence we again let a lead slip.
After the game, Wenger said: "We had a disadvantage that Wigan played three days ago and only 48 hours ago we played a big game in the evening.
Ok i understand that. But why could the starters from the Wigan game apply themselves the same way as the Monday team?, a lot of them had a bit of a rest like the Wigan team because thy did not play on Monday.
These are the guys who have been letting us down these past seasons, they can't be depended upon.

Wenger is a fucking idiot, and a *word censored*. Last night was all about Wenger attempting to massage his over inflated ego, make 8 changes to the side that beat chavski, win the game and then go on about his magnificent squad.
Once again it has backfired, so now he tries to justify the changes, by telling anyone stupid enough to believe him, that a draw against 10 men relegation candidates is a good result.
Thinking about it today, I came to a similar conclusion (except for the *word censored* part!!).
The thing I can't understand is, why would Wenger take off Theo and RVP early in the Chelsea match if it wasn't with a mind to them starting/playing a bigger role in the Wigan match? Especially when you consider that all the Theo substitution did was put us unnecessarily on the back foot for the final few minutes on Monday, when leaving the threat of his pace on the counter would have served the team better?

As I think you have pretty much hit the nail on the head, I agree with you. The decisions ( penalty and handball ) were terrible, and IMO were the main reasons we didn't pick up 3 points. But once again, the Wenger haters are out in force .

Wenger simply had to rest best players for at least one of those four festive period games, he rightly chose to do it at Wigan. You really can't blame him for that. But not making changes at the right time is what costs us victory last night, so he should be rightly blamed for that. Unfortunately his indecision last night comes from a ludicrous belief that this is Arsenals 'best squad ever'
The point is, if our strongest 11 which no doubt will play next two games, end up with 6 points - fair possibility - nobody will remember Wigan game. And we are more than capable of winning next two games.
