If Togo had qualified for ACON

Post by onemoreminute »

Where would our goals have come from lately if Ade had gone to the ACON?

Eddy, Nik, Theo? or RVP, when fit?

We shouldn'y need another striker but if Ade is banned/injured, the goals from midfield have dried up a bit lately, we may struggle :( :(

If my brother was born a woman he'd be my sister, but he wasn't so he isn't. Same as Togo qualifying for ACN. They didn't so he isn't there. And we're here and he's banging em in for fun. Do agree on the injury front though.

Ok, so maybe he hasn't convinced a lot of people but we need him, if the midfiled was knocking them in for fun not so much on his shoulders , but there not

Anyway, come on Wigan beat the Chav wankers

see the problem with abe is he thinks he the best in the world and some games he waltzs around like he owns the pitch with his flicks and fighting with team mates,, but credit where credit is due and without his goals we wouldnt be where we are now,,
but is he the man to win a title for you,, then im not sure,, and if he wasnt playing i have no doubt that the other strikers would be getting there share,,

Fair comment Rebel, i have been there numerous times when he dosen't even look interested, sure we have been here before?, but who do you think out of the remaining strikers would have contributed?

cant say because of rvp been out most of the season,, we saw the run of goals that eddie got when he got games ,, so i presume that the style might have changed with a different striker but the amount of chances we make it wouldnt be hard for a good striker to convert,, still wish we had splashed out on a proven goalscorer thou and much as i like eddie i think wenger bought him for next season as he does with a lot of players but football is the now

give ade the ball and he will score,, he's growing on me,, slowly thou

This must be the first season for a while that we have actually put in crosses/corners and had someone who could score from them.

In the last 5 years who has given us that option, even more frustrating given the quality of wide men we have/or had to supply the killer ball.

Well even with Van Persie unfit, we could play Dudu (if double figures is for the future, I look forward to next season) and Nick, who has a decent amount of goals for a 4th choice striker. It would be a bit bare after that, Walcott could get a run up front but otherwise we go 4-5-1. A one month loan would have been good if Togo had got through

I think judjing by what we've seen so far, Adebayor clearly works best with RvP beside him and Eduardo with Bendtner partnering him.

Adebayor deserves some credit for his workrate (4-5-1) and the disruption up front (Eduardo finding his feet, Theo finding if he's got any feet..).

If eduardo is to succeed, we need to be more direct (Everton away) or play with genuine wide players.

I think the Adebayor and Eduardo partnership looks like our best bet at tho moment.
Personally I fear for Bendtnar when RVP is fit because Edu, Ade and RVP all offer a different attacking threat while i see nik as a slightly less talented Adebayor, So nik may see a lot of Theo on that bench in the near future and he doesnt strike me as the patiant type.
