Maddest Goal Celebrated?

Post by OT02 »

Continuing with the 'Best of' series of threads, heres another good one for you.

Whats the maddest Arsenal goal you've ever celebrated (in the ground or wherever)

And for a bonus point, have you ever seen an opposition crowd celebrate and thought "I wish I was a part of that"

For the record, Ljungberg's at Bolton last year in the cup was my favourite of recent times, along with Adebayors vs Spurs (CC 2nd Leg LAST YEAR  )

Bendtners against Spurs gets an honourable mention, because we were with a load of **** in the pub, and of course Wiltords at Old Trafford.

Despite the anti-Spurs theme, didn't that lot make a bit of noise when they went ahead at the Grove?

Bastards

Hope you all understand this. I'm wankered

Probably Rocky's winner against the **** at the shithole in the 87 league cup semi final replay. I was in the middle of the park lane and went absolutely mental, think I eneded up about 50ft from where I was originally standing

As for celebrations where I was actually there, it would have to be Dennis's goal at Villa Park in the '99 Semi-Final. I was in the Houlte End and the place went fucking mental.

Short of that, it would have to be Sol's in the European Cup Final. I injured so many of my friends in that celebration!

Freddies one and Henry's two against the manure filth at Highbury in Nov 2001 - I was in the NB with a dislocated shoulder etc ec - I told it on here before. F*cking mayhem!! :P 8)

And Sol's in the CL final as well. Nearly burst a blood vessel in my head from screaming and yelling insanely...

Kanu's hat-trick goal at Stamford Bridge was a top one for me - the Arsenal fans were in the corner where he collected the ball and went round de Goey, and were perfectly placed to see the trajectory of the ball as he curled it in from a mad angle over Desailly into the top corner. We were more than a little bit chuffed at getting a 3-2 win in that fashion when we'd been losing 2-0 with about 20/25 minutes to go. I don't think the Chavski wankers were too happy with us that day though...
