Mourinho the Farce

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Mourinho the Farce

Post by Trevheff »

What a performance by the Special Needs one on Sunday. The most annoying thing of all is that the prats in the press bought his performance hook, line and sinker as all bar none talked of "Brave Chelsea bowing out like true champions".

Lets looks at the facts. They have spent close on a 3rd of a billion on their team in the past 3-4 years yet they haven't even reached a Champions League final let alone won it. They paid £30 million + for one player in the summer, have splashed out £130k a week in wages on a another so called superstar, £15m on one of the best left backs in the world (sorry, in my opinion he is). Yet for all Maureen-yo's 'special abilities' he's taken them backwards this season.

Apparently the only reason they didn't win everything this year including Wimbledon, The Super Bowl and the US Open golf is because Cech and Terry were out injured. Maybe my eyes were deceiving me but I could have sworn they were both playing against Bolton the other week when they blew the title conceding soft goals in the process?? I also wasn't aware that both were goal scorers as it's clearly been their inability to score goals that have cost them. Nil nil at Newcastle, failing to score again at Anfield, 30 minutes to get a winner against Bolton... I could go on.
Imagine where they'd be now had Drogba suffered injuries like Henry??!!

We've had to put up with hearing for 2/3 years now how they are so brilliant because they have 2 world class players in every position. How many times did we hear that old chestnut?? Well what the fuck happened then???

They are a powerful team, with good players, will go close again next season and we will do well to challenge them. But if you spend nie on £400 million on your team, I'm sorry but you have to win everything and win it well.

As for the sympathy they've been getting over the past few days, I don't know whether to laugh or throw up. Tottenham with money, that's all they f@cking are and this season has proved it.

Anyone who is old enough to remember the late 60s and early 70s will remember the Leeds United team. That Leeds team had many skillful players but their manager Don Revie turned them into a nasty, cynical win at all costs side.A side that would break every rule in the book to win a game. They were the most hated team in the country. Chelsea are the spitting image of Leeds, Chelsea have some great players but their manager the special one sends them out to suffocate the game, Chelsea play with no flair at all. They are full of cheats like Droghba.Robben and Joe Cole. They play in a way that Wimbledon of the 80s would be proud of,Long ball and set pieces. Abramovich wants Chelsea to play like Barcelona but he will never get his wish as long as Mourinho is in charge. That is why the country celebrated when Liverpool knocked them out of the CL and the Gooners ended their title chances.
Leeds won trophies but were hated and when people talk about them now they are called Dirty Leeds. And that is how Chelsea will be remembered, a team that bought.bullied and cheated their way to sucess. And that will be the legacy of Mourinho. The not so special one.
