IPSWICH AWAY PRE MATCH DRINKS..................

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

If anyone is driving up there is a car park that is free after 6pm at a place called Cardinals Park, where the cineworld cinema is

(also a mc'ds, kfc, frankie and benny's, ask, etc so plenty of food options)

It is just past the ground off Grafton Way I believe.

that's about 100 yards from the ground, on a matchday it must be rammed, on a matchday on a wednesday (orange wednesdays, 2 for 1 and that) it must be impossible!

nice idea though, no idea where we're parking :lol:

Not that our ol' boy is going 2b there, but suggest @ Dear ol' Alan Sunderland's (now in Malta, so I hear) old pub :-

The Halberd (now known as PJ McGinty's)
15 Northgate Street, Ipswich IP1 3BY.

Apparently was (still is?) Ipswich's smallest pub! :barscarf:

Think if you book Liverpool street chelmsford return then chelmsford colchester return then colchester Ipswich return works out a lot cheaper and if you do it in advance you can stay on the same train.

I'll be there driving up on wednesday from potters bar, hour max be there for 5pm.

Might do Park and Ride from the East Ipswich industrial roundabout on the A12.

Lets get the noise started early.

me and a few mates that im going with will be in the station hotle at about 5pm if anyone else is interested in meeting there.....would be good to get a group of us together...

Just spoke to a few of my mates who are Ipswich and they said the Station Hotel is the main away pub. :barscarf:
