IPSWICH AWAY PRE MATCH DRINKS..................

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

That's ok mate.

I'm not calling anyone a moron (that's roly's job  ), just that a quality beer (not neccessarily real ale) is not at odds with being in a packed pub with your mates having a good time, which is what is sort of being suggested.

Splendid idea. I think I'll start on Wednesday before the Ipswich match.

happy to pm you name ofpub on promise you dont publicise and two you agree to try at leat two real ales.

mikey

i go to pub before and after games to meet my mates . v important for me esp as stuck insticks and football is only chance i get to meet them.

only difference is all my male friends without exception prefer real ale to gassy mass produced chemical filled overpriced shit that is manufactured and marketedlike the sun newspaper for the brainless moronic majority

and as engels has pointed out most pubs near grounds are designed to capture and cater for the brainless moronic majority.

we dont do japanese beers, we desperately try and avoid trendy gastro pubs and aim for basic boozers that actually care about the quality of the product they serve. you , as you make clear, dont care what shit you drink and that is really the only difference. but i assure you the shit you drink is damaging the few brain cells you have left.

There's only one real ale and my favourite tipple by some considerable distance;

Smithwicks

My local (which happens to lie in the middle of nowhere) happens to actually serve the best of the best of it. Truly delicious

To Roly,

Fact is I hate the taste of Ale, I prefer, by choice to drink larger. No one reason other than that. Taste.

Some people don't eat meat, hate carrots or whatever. My point is, that shouldn't reflect Someones character! I would love to hear your thoughts on race.

Btw, serious question, are you Alan Partridge?

Haha! I love partridge! That's why I was worried! It's just his petty, serious nature.

Sounds to me that Roly is the Highbury Spy, going on about real ale etc in his column every issue of the Gooner

People have different taste in all area's of life - let each to their own.

Just to reaffirm we are all apparantly Arsenal supporters, so lets not bicker and argue about oo's killed oo and instead join in unison to support the mighty Gunners. :barscarf:
