I went from my left to right on that one. :-P

But aside that, I can see Arsene putting that team out, or something to that effect.

Some are seeing this as a total humiliation by Arsenal of a mangerless Ipswich - Especially after their drubbing in the FA Cup by the chavscum....however it is strongly runoured that they will have their new manager in place by weds...(paul jewel odds on favourite)...and if that is the case, we all know what a new manager coming in can do for a team...all the players wanting to impress etc etc...

Even if they are still without a manager proper, the Ipswich players will be hurting from being beaten 7 - Nil...and so will want to show they're no pushovers....wounded animal syndrome etc...

By all rights Arsenal should beat them...but again that depends on what line-up AW puts out AND if that line-up bother to turn up!?

Indeed. I hate all this "Arsenal have already won it" nonsense, makes me nervous as hell! This is Arsenal, when have we ever made life easy?! Read Merse's column in the Official Mag the other day & he was saying how "you might as well inscribe Arsenal's name on it now" :banghead:

If we don't win this it'll be up there with Luton, Swindon & Wrexham as one of the biggest cock ups ever...

With you guys on this one. I'm as nervous as hell. I haven't had a drink since the Man Shitty game and had intended to last till Saturday but I just know I will not be able to sit through this without a glass in my hand.

ps: BTW I Hope with All My Heart we DO give them the hiding of ther lives - as this would help with the squad's confidence factor - well at lest for a day or two.

I was there when a full strength Arsenal lost at York and Swindon. And when we lost cup finals against lower division sides - West Ham and Luton. Think I also remember losing at home to Walsall one year.....

But while I wouldn't take a win on Wednesday for granted I do think whatever side we put out should play with a great deal of confidence especially knowing that we still have a second leg as a hell of an insurance policy. A new manager does sometimes give a team a boost - but it doesn't suddenly turn Ipswich into a good side!

So rest assured though that we are as good as in the final. What could possibly go wrong now.......

However, I wouldn't take it for granted that we will beat either Birmingham or West Ham in the final. A dodgy penalty or sending off can have a hell of an influence in a one off game - and it does come sandwiched between the two games v Barca which once again makes team selection "interesting"!

A further upside is that if it does all go tits up on Wednesday then at least that will make it more exciting at the Grove in the 2nd leg.

I've spent all of £20 on 3 tickets for that game FFS and winning 3-0 this week will just spoil things..... !

Lol.

I have to say I'd rather get the job done there and sit back and relax at the Grove, should be a hell of a night, going to do what I always do. Sing till I have no voice and then carry on. :p

What block you in mate?
