IPSWICH AWAY PRE MATCH DRINKS..................

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

i want to get away from this Station hotel, its going to be overpacked and i hate it when a boozer is packed on match day as i always go to a non all gooner pub, any recomendations on other pubs in the town? my lot dont wear colours ever
Curve bar used to be ok, not far from the ground, not sure if you might get in there?

failing that get a cab down to the quayside bars

Curve Bar has gone downhill and will probs have security on doors as its close to the ground...Quayside bars mainly Issacs get full early evening of office workers having post work drinks and proberly wont let shirts/trainers in as a way of keeping us out :banghead:

Stop being pussies - if you're not wearing colours, go into the town centre and they're are plenty of boozers that'll let you in, or won't even question you.

Am I right in thinking they are keeping the home fans inside the stadium until we are away from the ground? Thats what I made from the message on Pravda?

Also, anyone know where abouts to park close to the stadium?

The main away supporters pub for many a season, the 'Drum & Monkey', has now declared itself a 'home supporters only' pub, following refurbishment. This makes the choice of drinking establishments for away fans very limited. The Station Hotel, which is near to the ground and train station, is where most visiting supporters will congregate.

Station Hotel it is then!

I never do, theres the chance you cant get into certain pubs/bars, can bring on trouble and if anything kicks off football related you stand out a mile.
