- The performance wasn't that bad, there certainly were alot worse this season, even games against Leeds and Wigan, our performance was worse IMO.

- Fair play Ipswich, they upped their game and got a one goal lead.

- I think the abuse Bendtner gets at games these days is a disgrace, fair enough he ain't everyone's cup of tea to put it mildly, but he is still young and I honestly cannot remember seeing a player receive such abuse on regular occasions ie every game, you can see he probably hates our fans. Also these people should take a look at themselves, singing the Arshavin song and One Arsene Wenger, then abusing the fuck out of Bendtner. Stupid, he does't pick the team.

Overall I would be alot more angry if it wasn't two legs, they are going out at the Emirates IMO.
Are you fucking joking? That was by far the worst performance I've seen this season, and I've seen some right shockers from this team.
IMO it certainly wasn't.

The performance again Wigan, Newcastle, West Brom and Spurs, were all disgraceful, some even disgustingly bad.

I don't what anyone else expected tonight but I expected a game like we seen, their biggest in 7 years tbf.

We'll still get through hopefully so it isn't all bad.
I can't believe Im the angry one and you're calm.

Wait till mikey, augie and sid log on. :cussing: :cussing: :cussing: :cussing: :cussing: :cussing: :censored:

Tbh I thought from the first 10 minutes we would be lucky for a draw. I guess I would be more angry if we didn't have the second leg.

Anyway there are only so many times you can get really angry, I was more angry at the dropped points against Wigan and City, because in the grand scheme of things those results mattered more.

Evidently though I'm in the minority, I love being the positive one for once though.....

And what does it say if in fact the Board's policies are handicapping the composition of the football team and you would rather ignore the possibility or it were confirned proof that is the case?

What does it say in fact if those policies continue under a new manager and the same Board or even a new Board and you continue to ignore that?
Yeah it was the board's policies that couldn't lift a bunch of over-paid and under-performing set of players.

I thought he was serious at first and actually felt a bit sorry for what looked for a time like cyber bullying. However, when he comes on a thread like this and starts spouting off about the board then its clear that people were right all along and he is a WUM. With that in mind then the best thing to do is to ignore and don't take the bait :fishing: !

We just keep the ball around the box hoping it will make its way back into the box. Also they have players who can actually play on the wing and cross the ball as well as make runs into the box and score.
Im worried now.

Messi on 30 goals for the season already, last season it was march that he reached that total.

They didn't even need to be good to beat us, so poor were we. How many last ditch tackles did their defence have to make? How many shots actually troubled their keeper and forced him to work?
Tbf they aren't bottom they are 6th from bottom with a game in hand so not as bad as first thought.

Tonight we had chesney, gibbs, djouru, cesc, wilshire and theo all start and most Gooners believe that all of them are or should be in our first 11 -we cant even say that ipswich beat our 2nd string or that they were lucky

Listen I dont really give a shit about this competition but I do give a shit about our team, the players and the direction the club is heading and none of these can be viewed as positive. How can a team that cant beat geordies, wigan, baggies or two championship teams be seriously considered as genuine champs lge contenders ? These players are not improving and in a lot of cases are actually regressing and as a team it is nothing short of disgraceful that on so many of occasions in the past few years we have a team that seems to have no heart or passion :(

Of course the buck should drop with wenger but as per usual it wont  He has already suggested fixture congestion as a reason for that performance and I am sorry but his excuses are as unacceptable as the performances themselves :x The man (wenger) needs to fcuk off now and take those useless *word censored* that he keeps bigging up with him and in an ideal world he would also bring the wankers who keep singing "one arsene wenger" with him too  Win or lose this tie or indeed the cup itself we cannot come out of this with any credibility and this team, these players (and not just the one's that played tonight) and the manager are an utter disgrace and embarassment to our club

Or maybe, despite the accusations from morons on here, I've been going long enough to remember that - sometimes (shock, horror) - Arsenal do actually lose games. Sometimes even against lower league opposition. Imagine that!!! Isn't that the first time under Wenger we've lost to lower league opposition??

And maybe, I've got enough perspective to realise that although sometimes results are disappointing and frustrating, things are generally pretty good on planet Arsenal and could be a fucking shit load worse. Liverpool are virtually in a relegation battle this season. Sacking a couple of managers doesn't seem to have done them a great deal of good.

Of course results like tonights, or more importantly perhaps - performances like tonights, are "upsetting"/disppointing/frustrating. But that's what being a football fan is. What upsets me more, is dicks like some of the moaners on here that whinge on calling everyone a *word censored* whenever we lose a game, or drop a point, or concede a goal. I don't wish to go to football and be around people like that. They're a cancer on Arsenal Football Club, and we have to put up with them prattling on week in-week out.

Arsene Wenger was responsible for assembling one of THE greatest teams that football has ever seen. Ever. After 2004, it was always gonna be a step down 5 or 6 years down the line. In the same way that life isn't quite as good 5 or 6 minutes after having an a orgasm, as it was when you were chucking custard behind some dorris's bellybutton. You've just got to accept that. And all the moaning in the world doesn't help anything. In fact it has a fucking detrimental effect imo.

Does my fucking head in.

Stick that in your passion pipe and smoke it.

****end of rant*****

Yeah it was the board's policies that couldn't lift a bunch of over-paid and under-performing set of players.
No but if those policies led to those players being in place then what is to be expected? Especially given one could argue they are led by an overpaid undermotivated manager. After he gets improved deals but no visible support or encouragement to try to invest more in the team to produce more players like he did from 1998-2005. And if I can see these players almost to man are unqualified to be part of those teams surely any competent manager can. So what is the manager's real motivation now besides that bigger pay-packet honestly?

That is Mr. Wenger's failing that should be savaged. His unwillingness to fight to for more support to put the kind of teams he used to put on the pitch year after year. Like you yourself pointed out so keenly there has to be a middle ground between our Board' s policies and those at Chelsea and Man City. A middle ground like the one tread so successfully unsder this manager from 1998-2005. We need to find that middle ground again - no matter who the manager is or nothing will change significantly.

ferguson has managed to build team after team because he knows what it takes to win trophies and Wenger used to. Now he just is intent on winning it his own way with his project. I have just about had enough.

We are so close to having a very, very good team but wenger is just holding them back by refusing to strengthen certain areas and by ignoring defence as a part of football.

You're absolutely right. We're all c**ts. Everyone is a completely useless c**t, apart from you. The only person who's been going long enough to be worthy enough to decide who and what is good enough for Arsenal FC.

Wenger out. Keyboard warrior in. It's the only thing that'll save The Arsenal.
I never said wenger out. don't put words in my mouth

How do you knowm this - how do you know he has refused to use additional resources as you suggest to do this?

See the thing is if you're wrong and the same policies continue under future managers until whenever the Board is satisfied we could be here five or even ten years on - hell Quartz even suggested possibly 2021 or 2031 in one post - twenty years on - having these same debates and feeling the same anger and frustration with Arsenal and each other we are now.

Why would we even want to risk that?
