Got to the Station Hotel about 5.30. Struggled to the bar, fought my way past the excitable teens throwing beer everywhere (oh there's the pint I was gasping for, all over the fucking carpet
) only to be told upon reaching the bar that they'd run out of most lagers.
Had no idea where the other away pubs were so went looking for an offy to grab a few tins. No luck. Thought at the very least i'd get a beer in the ground. Again, no chance there; just as crowded as the Station. Ended up consuming zero alcohol all night.
What a thoroughly shit evening.

So you got to see the drab performance in 'real time' I feel sorry for you.Dan_85 wrote:Got to the Station Hotel about 5.30. I walked past an offy on my way to the Station Hotel. When I saw how rammed it was I went back to the offy and purchased a few bottles and took them back to the pub.Dan_85 wrote:Got to the Station Hotel about 5.30. Not sure why there were so many firm types? Cheap tickets I guess.
to the sheep moaning about packed pubs etc running out of beer.
this is what you get for being brainless unimaginative sheep.
i went to cracking local boozer 15 min walk from ground. choice of several real ales-food before and after game. no problems getting served even though busy-no problems with locals happy to talk to us and made us welcome. most before game were going to the match and most laughed when i told them where i thought the sheep were heading.
apart from match a very successful trip.

Lets all brag about what beer we drink and try to wind up fellow gooners the day after an embarrassing loss.
