Trouble last night

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I saw two geezers arguing in the bog at half time, but it was so crowded you couldn't have thrown a punch if you'd wanted to.

Upstairs during the first half. One bloke was badly cut up. A few were carted off.
Big surge down about half a dozen rows of seats.
Happened on the left hand side of the stand as you face the pitch.

I was in V2 row P I think and just infront to the left there seemed to be a lot of trouble going on in the 1st half.

Saw the police charge in and police hats flying around. Then saw the paramedics run in a couple of minutes later.

Me and my mate noticed it was going to kick off. In section A turnstile 24-25 there were fuck loads of people standing around by the aisle. No way were they arsenal fans as they didn’t know the songs and there was a tense atmosphere all around us.

Over all in the ground there was a strange atmosphere and not the usual away crowd at all.

Saw it kick off also as i was leaving , all the stewards were trying to split it up.

I went in via 24 last night, some matey was getting knicked as we were going in for rushing the turnstile... Can we not turn into the scousers please.

Definitely a weird/more volatile crowd last night.

Given that criteria, you couldn't necessarily rule it out though.

I really dont think they were all gooners. All the guys around us didnt know the songs. In a way they were even mocking us and copying what we were saying.

Wsnt just that Hleb. These guys were not the usual arsenal fan home or away. They were there for a fight and none of them were talking together. They didnt respond to anything arsenal did nor did they respond to anything ipswich did.

Very hard to explain, but it wasnt right. Also after we left and went more in the middle it kicked off where we were.

Well if they weren't Arsenal, then they must of been Ipswich. So why didn't you steam into them? :box: :box:

As a few people have said there was a edgy feel to the crowd last night!

Also they was noway ipswich fans! i am old and ugly enough to know when something is going to kick off.
