hands up, how many

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

of u knew anything about adebayor, or even heard of him before les boss signed him 2 years ago. myself, id heard of him but, that was about it. for every dud signing wenger makes, he will have 3 or 4 gem 2 make up for it. quite simply now, ade is 1 of the best in the prem league, and will bed be 1 of the players nominated for poty. arsene knows.

I didn’t know him. When Arsenal signed him, my friend phoned and told me that we signed an African striker from Monaco. I straight way told him if it was Nonda who played for Blackburn last season but he told me it was Adebayor so I was quite surprised.

I KNEW THAT HE WAS THE TOP SCORER FOR TOGO BUT ALSO HEARD HE WAS A BIT OF A 'HOT-HEAD' WHO WAS ALWAYS ARGUING WITH HIS MANAGER. (LOOKING AT THE PERMANENT SMILE ON HIS FACE, WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT IT?)

MUST ADMIT TO NOT WATCHING MUCH FRENCH FOOTBALL SO DIDN'T REALLY SEE HIM FOR MONACO. WATCHED TOGO IN THE WORLD CUP 2006 AND HE DONE OKAY, BUT NOTHING MORE.

HOWEVER, THERE CAN BE NO DOUBT THAT ADEBAYOR HAS PROVEN VALUE FOR MONEY AND HIS PERFORMANCES HAVE GOT BETTER AND BETTER THIS SEASON. SHOULD HE CONTINUE IN THAT VAIN, ADE WILL SOON BE ACKNOWLEDGED AS A TRULY WORLD CLASS CENTRE FORWARD 8) (MAYBE EVEN BY SOME OF HIS CRITICS ON THIS FORUM!!)
