Spot on. There is something about him - a presence or maybe just size - that just gives you confidence that he is going to save it.

Like with Schmeichel when someone is one on one with Chesney I just get the same feeling!

He has a real charisma at the back, and isn't afraid to bollock his defenders. Fabianski is a good shot stopper and seems a nice bloke, where are Shezza seems a top draw keeper and a bit of a *word censored*. Thats whats needed.

Anyway, excellent performance. Plus we never really sat back, we just kept turning the screw.

For me the performance was ever so slightly short of being excellent.

We were caught out far to many times at the back in the first half for my liking and Djourou - given that he wasn't up against too much - had an absolute mare!

I still found myself relieved when the 3rd went in as up to that point it still had last season written all over it.

Midfield and up front though - immense!

Hate to say it but there is no way that Wenger will play the same team against Leeds. And the only reserve options we have are in midfield and up front which was precisely where the improvement was seen today....

I'ld say Johan should be let off a dip, he's been excellent apart from today and maybe the second half of ipswich. Also eboue's been playing in both.....

No Denilson + No Bendtner in starting line-up = Very good Arsenal performance and a win. Got that Wenger? :banghead:

Much better today, Nasri and Cesc were superb, RVP was a lot sharper and was good to see him on the scoresheet :barscarf:

Good performance or WestStam fucking shit?.Bit of both to be honest we didnt need to play well to win.Cesc ran the show.Still the defence looked shaky in the first half with Eboue and Djourou falling asleep. And why does Djourou keep letting the ball drop instead of clearing it.Szczesny should stay No1 now for good. And dont dear buy Upson Wenger

It was an excellent, outstanding performance.

I think by now most of know our first XI thereabouts is brilliant in midfield and forwards when on form, the defense is shaky though.

The problem comes in when the jokers are playing ie Bendtner, Arshavin when lazy, Denilson, Almunia, Squallaci, Eboue sometimes, Vela.

Time and time again these players have contributed to every poor performance. Thankfully Almunia was eliminated finally but Denilson still playing.... :?

Comes on today and disgracefully pulls out of a tackle and jogs slowly after him, nearly cost us a goal.

These players will be our undoing, it all depends on how they play really.

West Ham gave us time and space and we took advantage.

Cesc, Nasri and RvP very good.

Djourou had a bad day at the office.

Eboue is not good enough to be our right back, only good enough as a back up midfielder.

Spot on Quartz.

See what a difference playing our BEST players does! Keep the shit out of the team and we have a chance but will Wenger have learnt a lesson? The last 5 years say he's not capable of learning unfortunately.

Yup, especially the Nasri chant amended for West Ham going down and You're going to ground share with Tottenham made me chuckle. The away support was back to normal and so massively different to Ipswich
