Liverpool?

Post by Pav »

Anybody else a little bit miffed about the majority of the Arsenal support chanting 'Liverpool' on Sunday - yeah I understand why this was being sung but for fcuks sake most of the people standing round me and singing that never once got up to start an Arsenal chant.

Bloody sad business.

Also - anybody else commented yet on the OTT stewards Sunday taking the inflatable mobile phones, signs etc?

Bloody jobs worths the lot of them - I can't see an inflatable mobile phone doing too much damage to anybody and Cashly wasn't even thjere.

Lucky him - in our section we had the pleasure of the following;

1. A Gooner nearly being physically thrown out by several stewards because he pointed out a Chelski fan in the home end. By contrast the Chelski fan was not spoken to.

2. Stewards walking along isles to get to people with inflatable mobile phones, wrestle with them for a bit and then grab the inflatable and rush off with it.

3. A bloke who had a sign reading '£50m for the League Cup' or something similar also have this literally grabbed off him.

It was bollocks, really daft - there is absolutely no way in this world an inflatable phone could be considered as being either a weapon, an object which encourages hatred of some description or another or any other anti-social behavior you could mention. However the actions of the stewards on Sunday nearly caused physical confrontation between several Arsenal supporters and the stewards.

Sad, very very sad.

Gotta say that I though stewards really were buggers on persistent standeruppers(as one stweard put it to me, teh first tiem i stood up that game :)

Secondly quite strict on individuals picking out individuals in the away crowd and slagging them off.

In terms of everyone slagging chelsea off or one player they dont seem to mind, lesson is to do things in groups so they ignore or tell you all to sit down, stand out alone and your in for a jobsworth telling you off (just like being in a library)
