Defending the defenceless NICK BENDTNER

Post by Herd »

Notwithstanding his massive EGO I think he gets a bad deal off people on here and elsewhere for that matter.

He is an out and out center forward ,not a winger or a midfielder and yet he gets slated here constantly when its out fault we dont make the most of his talents .
Whenever he does play he has to play the push and run that the team plays however when he plays for Denmark (and I go or see most of their games) he plays as a lone target man striker with a back up from a link man and a team that will commit bodies in the box for crosses it works very well .

When he does play for us and we to play to him rather than stupid 1/2's through packed defenses he does ok and he is a good finisher.

Those who slag him conveniently forget that he is used nearly always ,when the 2nd string is on duty and that we know isn't a team that isnt good enough.

He's leagues better than Chamakh in my opinion yet all i ever read on here is negative shit about him,I don't understand it ?

Yeah a shocking post that. He believes he's as good as Thierry Henry... apart from a sub cameo goal against N'Castle in the CC I cannot remember anything else he has done.

Bad 1st touch.
Attitude stinks.
Lazy.

... need I say more?

That said he'll probably get a new 5 year deal next week :banghead:

The Audley Harrison of football.

Always claiming he is great should be this, should be that and then backs it up with nothing!

Bendtner and Harrison same dillusional genes?

do you ever watch him at arsenal herd :?: im sorry but cant agree with your post,

he is lazy,
watch him try to track back or close down a player. he doesnt.

nothing wrong with a bit of arrogance but he has too much,

sorry but i for one would be very happy to see him go.

I watch every game !

He gets very little service,he shouldn't be tracking back he should be on the shoulder of the last man at all times.

He can trap a ball and he can pass, and he can finish ,he has never been given a long run in the team just in and out and the odd subs role.

He was shit at Ipswich but wasnt the only one was he !

Herd. I have been reading many of your posts and found myself agreeing with some of what you say.

However the defending on Barry is not something I agree with. He has had chances down the middle and has still been shit. Its not just his form that is terrible but its his whole attitude.
When Cham has a bad game you can see the passion in his heart as he continues to run around chasing defenders and attempting to go on runs. Barry does not of that. I am not the kind of fan who gets on a players back just because he misses a sitter or fucks up a pass. However if that player is not putting in the effort and being lazy with a bad attitude then I will get shout my mouth at him.

Barry B is just a waste of space , the longer we have him the longer it stops the progress of players like jet or Cham. It could also stop the slight chance that we could sign a new striker. I would say Barry wouldn’t get into most the teams in the prem never mind the top 4
