Looks like he's gone to Cardiff City.

I hope he does well. Looks like he could be the real deal. fingers crossed. Not sure i like the idea of him however helping another welsh team into the premier league. We could have 2.

Thank god, he was such a waste in the reserves and wenger obviously rates bentdner and vela above him. :roll:

Firstly Cesc was a product of Barca's youth system lets not kid ourselves and i think Wilshere, Szezny, Djourou still have a hell of a lot to prove and i personally dont rate Song and think we should buy better and Clichy is hardly pulling up trees in the last 2 years :?

i agree with what you just said, but i still think that szczesny, djourou, song, clichy and wilshere are a bit too good for palace, don't you think? :wink:
What about Bendtner :? :wink: and Nordveit etc etc etc the list goes on over the years

People do get carried away with our youth team and the so called stars it has created. Many of the new crop are not proven yet even Jack who I fucking love in an arsenal shirt.

As Flash said Cesc was from Barca. Really the last world class player that has come from the youth team was Ashley Cole.

and do we need to create only world class players in our academy?? i would be delighted if the academy can find us a decent cover for sagna, for example... even barcelona produces their own versions of aliadiere and justin hoyte at times, or players that never manage to become regulars.

i have no problems with producing a few top players from time to time, but i can't see what's the problem with producing a few squad players (like bendtner) as well.

of course there will be some duds along the way in any youth academy but it is vastly exagerated how good arsenal are at producing top class youngsters. The facts would say otherwise

Wasn't Gibbs a product of the Wimbledon Youth system which we raped when the club broke up to move to Percy Keynes.
