if you wanna put it down then come up with something else.
most of our songs are factually incorrect like gael clichy or arshavin but they make good songs.
i called most people internet warriors because they sit in their comfy armchair watching the game on an internet stream and turn it off when we lose then carry on with their day.
the rest of us (including you so i believe) are there actually trying to improve the atmosphere and usually face a shit of a journey after a game only to be told "our fans are shit and make no noise" i for one never leave the place with my voice intact, so i take it personally when something new comes up and certain people slag it off.
if you dont like the song, fine.dont sing it but this wasnt aimed at you. you just chose to jump in and call me a c**t and now a hypocrite.
seriously fuck off with the insults cos i aint being called that sort of shit by anyone on here,we'll meet up at any game you like or you can just realise it wernt aimed at you and draw a line under it

This place is getting beyond a joke.

I was at the pub when the chant was being sang, and I posted a link to the chant on this thread.

This chant will catch on as it was also sang in even more numbers at West ham.

Its not really worth debating about so don’t get why its taken so many pages???

If you was there you would of enjoyed it as the chant is funny, lively and creates a good atmosphere.

I suggest all the people that don’t like it go to the next away day and go tell the people singing the chant that you don’t like words and that you have no intention of ever singing that song.

End of the day it’s a original chant, granted the factual basis is shit the chant isn’t. I think many should reserve judgment until there actually drunk hearing people sing it live rather than talk about on here.

That’s fair enough.

As far as I'm concerned it's a top song, fair play to merse if he came up with it. Hope it catches on as HIS proper song.

At the end of the day we all want one thing, a better atmsophere. This is a way to do it.

The majority of our songs are pathetic really, at home you have by far the greatest team, and who are ya, the only ones that go around the stadium regularly.

If you want the atmosphere, the chants need to be sung over and over again, a chant will start from one side and by the time it reaches the other a new one has been started.

At west ham the nasri chant/song was sung near enough everytime he touched the ball.

There have been examples of where our away fans can keep a chant going.....greedy away at Fulham, and even the Cesc Fabregas/lee bowyer at brum a few weeks back.

In conclusion....

a variety of chants sung over and over until the whole end is in sync! :barscarf:

what is it with this modern trend of singing "Good old Arsenal" really fast? I remember when this song was sung slowly and it sounded great- created a quality atmosphere :barscarf:

dont know who come up with it but its caught on. As you can see in the video, it was only a small group who knew the words at wigan. Hadn't heard it before then.

I dont mind it, something knew.
