As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
people are losing their jobs and money is tight for most, how do the club think we'll still be able to pay top whack for tickets every other week? look how slow the huddersfield sales are going. i don't see this trend coming to an end anytime soon. if afc had anything about them they'd come to some sort of compromise, i.e reduced tickets for category b matches or something. not, "50% off all replica kit *because sports direct are doing us over*".
I raised a point not long ago about VAT increases.
Iceman you claimed it was the law to implement them.
Then how come we are only one of 3, yes 3 teams out of 20 that DID NOT absorb the increase and instead overcharged fans ONCE AGAIN.
1.50 a game increase ONCE AGAIN. Not mention BOOKING FEE.

JOKE!
I think I remember that thread and I did say they could absorb the increase, if they wanted to.
The did it when we changed from 15% -17.5%

Don't you mean 60,059?
I agree with the points raised though. We seem to be seeing a real slow down in ticket sales & who can blame people. It's tough times out there job-wise, no wonder people are reluctant to pay out a minimum of £34 (almost £37 once they've added on all their hidden fees) to watch Huddersfield town. At least the chavs have had the decency to cut their ticket prices in half for the FA Cup; http://www.chelseafc.com/page/TicketPri ... 68,00.html

The other clubs have indeed implemented them, no two ways about it Uncle Sam. They will be paying the VAT to HMRC. Whether they raise their prices or not is inconsequential. On all sales of tickets, the clubs will have to book output VAT @ 20%. Therefore, I am right and the clubs are following the law. Whether they raise the prices or absorb the hit on a temporary basis, is their business decision.
The fans were not over charged. Over charging occurs when the club would have raised prices more than 2.5% which has not happened.
Booking fee is charged by all clubs. I bought a couple of CPFC ticket for the 29th Jan and booking fee was £2. I remember getting a couple of QPR tickets earlier this season and the booking fee was also the same.
Once again no reduction for the fa cup games. Its Hudderfield FFS.And its live on TV.Top price tickets should be a tenner. Its time football clubs got real

Last few matches i've ended up getting about £15 worth of free beer before each game in The Gunners from those O2 girls They do a few laps of the pub and each time they get back round to me they've forgotten that i've already had vouchers off 'em! Result.
Unfortunately you sometimes have to listen to The Away Boyz though
I was talking about the O2 text promotion.
What's this free beer in a proper pub....with O2 Girls you talk about?
It's not every game but it's become more frequent in The Gunners since about the end of November! I hear they do it in The Tollington too now. Some girls walking around handing out vouchers for free beers if you're on O2 & you flash your phone at em to prove it. Or you can also get a free programme or a free Cesc mask ( ) if you'd prefer! Thankfully though there's a bunch of about 5 of em doing the rounds in there and their memories aren't very good so the system can be exploited in your favour lol
Fantastic!
Me and the time I met **** did wonder what some fans were doing with Cesc and RVP masks.
Is it only the Gunners and Tollington you can use them?
Apparently they do it at The Junction on Highbury Corner too. Usually drink in The Famous Cock but going to pop over there tomorrow to check it out.
