Carling Cup Final Tickets

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

You sound like the Arsenal PR man. Spinning every single detail.
Bollocks - That's rich coming from an Irish pikey so bugger off if you dont like what I post. Nobody is forcing you to read it

I just asked a simple question, thats it.

showing your true colours iceman

there was no need for that .
No, generally I like most Irish people. That's just a slur at Irish Gooner for his uncalled for attacks on me. I have nothing against Irish folk at all unless some dickhead like IG comes out and attacks me. If he doesn't like what I say, fine but accusing me without any know how or knowledge is uncalled for and if he bites, I will bite back
Backtracking now Icecube.

Face it you've embarrassed yourself again.
Iceman if someone bites sure bite back...but with a comment of "Irish Pikey"? that was totally uncalled for.

Okay now let move on and back to this thread and about Arsenal winning trophies! :D

You tell me????

Saw a handfull of them when we played chelsea, don't know how they do it. Touts?????
I have no clue. You made the claim, the onus is on you to prove it. If its touts, its a level playing field as even you can get it of them. Don't blame the tourists, blame the touts or simply get one of them
Ok my mistake there are no tourists ever at the big Arsenal games
Now you said Wembley will be full of girlfriends, families, children and tourists. Now the first 3 parts I can sort of agree with but I really can't see tourists around unless they get it from a tout.
Yeah tourists will most likely get it from the touts, but to the other 3 I listed, it's still most likely going to be a 'big day out' for them.
Alot of the people who went to the dark snowy midweek carling cup match against wigan or the 300 mile journey to Newcastle won't get their final tickets, but the others will, p.s. don't give me the comment how they've already been to 3 away matches, more than likely, old trafford, stamford bridge and anfield

My best hope - track down a Club Wembley member who's going on holiday that weekend.
yeah I saw those sites too. They're the sort of sites that were offering tickets to take that before they even went on general realease last year, of which my missus parted company with £350 and is still foolishly expecting them to arrive come July. Oh dear.

Even worse Ive heard stories of people buying tickets from these sites and getting told to Meet the vendor outside the ground who will give you your ticket. When he predictably dosent show up, all you are left with is an empty wallet and a photo of yourself looking like a mug stood outside Wembley. Don’t do it man.

I just wondered because I'm trying to sort a ticket for the Everton game and there are a few spare in Block 5 and I thought it might be near you.

I'm row 10 to the right, most people were standing behind me last night so I doubt you would of seen me. Was Big G, big then?

Mate! As I stated before the system is not the best but has worked well in the past. I guess it is what it is and fans will have to make do with it. There will always be a large number of fans who will be disappointed by not getting tickets and always a certain section will feel hard done by it.

OT, Bridge and Anfield usually sell out to people with 15+ credits so you have to do the wigans and the sunderlands before you get a pop at the big 3

Absolutely!

We're getting almost 32,000 for this but I would guess that the allocation for an FAC Final would be nearer to 22,000 - and probably the same for a Champions League Final. You would then see the necessary away match credits rise to maybe 5-10......Unfortunately that also means that you stand more chance of getting a ticket by being "in the know" than by getting one officially. But that's the way it's worked for time ever more - even pre-Corporate - so don't expect it to change any time soon.

Fortunately for us, the investment that I've made in buying Season Tickets since the move to the Grove will finally pay dividends. For those of you poor sods who have Silver membership with a shed load of credits then I hope that all those Gold members who looked down their nose at the Carling Cup will continue to do so now that we're in the Final. Trouble is that they may have done so when we were in Cardiff (which is how come I picked up 3 tickets for that myself) but Wembley too easy to get to......!
