Are Arsenal being commercialised too far? (12/5)
usual thread starter... a lot of changes with the new stadium move and now a predominatnly white away strip. it's all about money. necessary evil or needless alienation of the hardcore loyal fans? can we afford the likes of th14's wages without these changes?
Don't you feel you're getting carried away a bit here? I mean, everything you said is absolutely true, but have you asked yourself the question why? Because the club needs the money FFS. As soon as the stadium debt is returned, don't you think these issues will be addressed and resolved? Too negative approach.

Yeah it happens in many a board room of a major company. As soon as the stadium debt is returned, don't you think these issues will be addressed and resolved?
"I propose that now we make a lot of money, for the next quarter how about making less money and being more nice and sentimental and caring about the little guy who consumes our product out of sentiment rather than rationality"
I have no fear in saying that a Kroenke owned Dein run Arsenal will be uttering these very words in a few years time.
may sound very old and cliche but I feel that alot of the history has to do with the fans. I know im only 22 and most will tell me to shove a sock in it but the fact is I believe the history of the club will always be carried within the fans. Granted commericalism is a huge pain and the massive amount of sponsors plastered everywhere is not my cup of tea but I go to see the football and feel the passion and history of Arsenal drive through my veins. I for one like the yellow away but I don't have a massive issue with the away kit being white. Its not my cup of tea but I will still by it cause thats the kind of person I am. Alot of fans will no doubt ridicule my decision not to shun the kit but its a matter of taste more than anything really. My yellow away shirt holds close to my heart but the fact is weve had many away kits and change isn't necessarily a bad thing providing the club and the fans alike remember the history which brought forth the ability to change in the first place. I for one will always support the clubs decisions as long as they remember the people who brought us to this point. Granted im 22 and my opinion holds little stock up against others but even at my young age I have a deep appreciation for the history and heritage of our great club and I will always remember it was those who came before me in earlier generations which have given me the chance to stand here as a man of red and white.
