Denilson today

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

It's remarakble to consider that he stands where Patrick Vieira once did at Arsenal. Or even thinking in terms of as a reserve where Edu did.

Unfortunately, his only competition is himself. I didn't think he could play worse than he did against Ipswich but for the first time ever he exceeded my expectations  !

:high5: Excellent idea, if we have a whipround and pay an Orient player to break his legs (Yep! plural - Both the feckers just in case)...it'd be worth it ... :barscarf:

Disagree he was not great but he played ok today he provided bendtner and he didn't take the chances, worked hard as well, i think if he puts the work in like he has today form will come back sooner or later.

Arshavin's tracking back wasn't great (apart from one good block in the second half) but going forward he was much better today imo

Yes of course makes more sense for us to wish players get injured as someone said elsewhere here die than to question why it is we can't afford to invest in better players - of course, that's it.

Maybe if we bothered to stir just the littlest bit of shit maybe we wouldn't have to accept watching such obviously inadequate players and feeling so miserable about thinga all the time as a result. If that makes me a shit stirrer than good, better than taking in the arse all the time without knowing why and wondering how it ends up there time after time season after season. That ain't loyalty that's masochism.

Denilson today was simply appaling, he was at fault for the sending off, their player ran through his weak attempt to win the ball like he wasn't there.

I would love to know what Wenger sees in him, I've tried to have an open mind but I just don't see it.

to be fair Denilson had a good move today. that's when he faked an injury.

Because at that time it was only 11 against 9....and not 12 against 9.
