The return of RVP

The return of RVP

Post by donaldo »

When RVP does eventually get fit(dont laugh) does he walk straight back into the team because of his reputation or does he have to wait and fight for his place. There is no doubting the class of RVP but Eduardo has earned his place by right.I wouldn"t change the front two at the moment

If fit I'm sure he'll play at least some part in The ManU're game...& after that we're playing more or less twice a week so I'm sure he'll get tostart a lot of games. For the milan game I'm pretty sure AW will start with Ade alone upfront though.

He has to earn his place, the Eddy and Ade partnership is working brilliantly, can't disrupt a winning team

plus we rushed him back last time and he got injured, phasing him in slowly might be best for all concerned

Dont think he'll walk straight back into the team because of how well Ade & Eduardo are doing,
any idea when he's back?

Beginning of the season I saw RVP as the only decent striker we've got. I was dreading him being injured. The fact that I'd think twice about putting him back in the first XI shows how much Ade (especially) and Dudu have come.

To be fair arsene wont risk him getting injured by putting him in the thick of it straight away.

I expect he will feature several times from the sub bench before being given a starting place. Its good we have some healthy competition up front now though!!

"Rushed back from injury" & "rvp" do not belong in the same sentence at all  I think players with broken legs have come back quicker
On a serious level though I do think eduardo is a lethal finisher but doesnt contribute much to our build up/link play and for that reason I think rocking robin will soon be back in 8)

I had to laugh at the first bit 8)
I love Robin, he's the one to take the free kicks for us & cor he can smash one 8)
At the moment i like all the strikers, well Nic may be one to question but he now knows that he ain't going to into the team stright away with Eddy & Ade doing well for themselves in the last few weeks
I hope he's fit enough for OT, would be nice for a run out to see if he can still play or break a leg

I don't think he is going to come back straight into the team. Eduardo and Adebayor are playing very well at the moment.

Eduardo is an out and out poacher Augie, something we have been missing since Ian Wright left the club. It does not bother me that he is not involved so much with open play as I feel he lacks the pace of the others. What he does offer us is a threat in the box when a ball is crossed in.

It is no secret that I rate the Dude and hope his great form continues 8)

What is the Orion all about 20.1.06 :?

I swear if someone sneezes in Iceland, RvP catches a cold...

As for Eduardo, if we play more to his strengths (long ball, knock ons/down) then fine. If not, then RvP must come back in. And RvP still looks a better partner for Adebayor.

I dont thin RVP can just walk back into the starting line up, The teams not broken so theres no need to fix it, bringing him back straight away can only disrupt the flow of things.
