I'm a regular visitor to the Online Gooner forum, but always just to read the general chit chat and opinions as I find them always to be interesting.

But I am confused about what seems to have happened recently. I noticed the site was offline for a while and thought it strange, and having read the comments since I gather it was a fairly serious matter (??)

Would you possibly be able to fill me in on what has happened ? And I am also confused on the whole 'pink cat' subject ?

do they not know about pink cat its a cat thats pinks and likes to claw people

Well this is easily cleared up:

The Cat (Felis silvestris catus), is a small carnivorous species of crepuscular mammal

A skilled predator, the cat is known to hunt over 1,000 species for food. It is intelligent and can be trained to obey simple commands. Individual cats have also been known to learn to manipulate simple mechanisms, such as doorknobs. Cats use a variety of vocalizations and types of body language for communication, including meowing, purring, hissing, growling, squeaking, chirping, clicking, and grunting.

Although found in a multitude of colours, many popular cartoonists have characterised cats as being pink in colour. It is these brightly coloured felines that cause particular offence. They are a nuisance to society and disliked by nearly all they come into contact with.

On a personal note I believe it is my particular fondess of bluebirds that fuels my hatred of pink cats.

You mean we're not simply talking about the fact that all of us, utterly coincidentally, share a completely unnatural hatred for pink cats?
