diaby

Post by dutchie »

please tell me if i am wrong but diaby is starting to really piss me off,we love to play one touch football but every time he gets the ball he has to have touch after touch wich is maybe not so bad if he does something with the ball but he keeps on loosing the bloody thing time after time.

you can see the talent he has but the constant giving the ball away is annoying,, then again playing him on the right wing doesnt help either,, but i like him and hope he grows out of his bad habits

im finding him well annoying aswell, since coming back from injury he seems pretty arrogant (taking too many touches and trying to beat 4/5 men each time) and lazy (doesnt chase up balls and doesnt seem to be making the runs he should)

that said, he is out of position and playing next to the flamster would make anyone look lazy :D :D , hes got so much potential, hope he doesnt think hes better than he is right now

One thing that I have noticed about Diaby is that ever since that great goal he scored in the Carling Cup, every time he gets in the same position outside the box, he has a shot thinking he'll score again. And they almost all go either into the crowd or into the advertising boards beside the goal.

He's a very good runner with the ball in the ce3ntre of the pitch...has those tricky feet...very few other players can dribble like that in Premier League. Problem is his final ball, he panics and goves it away to often, but he is only 21 so give him a couple of years before writing him off. Playing left midfield is a learning experience for him too.

The guy is a great talent and is now our 3rd choice centre midfield player in my humble opinion. We have great young talent in CM and I would be pleased to see Gilberto go at the end of the season as his performances this year have been very carthorse like.

Love ya though Nice guy Gilberto and thanks for the memories

I understand your point but I think he's going to be a very good player in time. His best position is in central midfield but he does need more experience and given that he'll learn.

i thought wenger played him on the left. To be honest ive always liked diaby and although i grow increasingly frustrated at his selection at left midfield, i thought he was alright yesterday - if anything hes doin what eboue was doin on the right on the left - if u follow me, allowing cover for clichy if he goes forward, and thus meaning we're more attakcing on the right side.
He hasnt been the same since hte horrible injury but hes slowly recovering and i still believe wenger plays him on the left just to keep him happy as we have so many central midfielders.
Finally, he wouldnt have been called up for the french squad if he wasnt playing well.

Diaby is cover for Fabregas - there is no way he can cover for Flamini. If we are going to rely on Diaby to cover for Flamini then we will have problems.

Arsene Wenger doesn’t seem to trust Diaby in centre-midfield, so he isn’t the new Vieira as many saw him when he joined. He isn't a left-midfielder either so it is tough to judge him. He signed a new contract recently so Arsene and Diaby himself are happy.

I was expecting a lot more from Diaby, who I think has the potential to be a fantastic player for us

I've been defending him with the "hes playing out of position" excuse for some time, but I don't think that can be used as an excuse anymore, the mistakes he makes, like giving the ball away, dwelling on the ball too long, trying to take on the whole team, shouldn't be happening regardless of what position hes starting in

The frustrating thing is that everyone can see the ame problem but Diaby himself and Wenger doesn't seem to do anything about it...it's been the same for weeks now. T

he guy got so much talent but simply isn't a wide player. Hopefully he'll get a few games in the centre when we face the big teams & AW goes for a 5 man midfield.

As will Diaby, trust Arsene, the boy will be top drawer in a couple of years in his rightful position of CM.
